Thanks, I was hoping someone would start this thread! It seems to definitely be running at 60FPS, but the resolution doesn't sound great. But like the PS4 version, it hasn't been optimized yet, so who knows what it will end up at.
Too bad they aren't allowing any pics/vids.

This is still a maybe day one for me. I love the series but casual fun as become much more important for me. If its as pretty as they say I'll be very very tempted

Look forward to seeing it. I'm sure Jack Frags will give some comparison between PS4 and X1 if there is any noticeable difference.

I would like to state that the Spookie dude also said he played Titanfall and that it was overrated.

Literally everyone else is saying it looks good. Jack Frags is a really big BF3 PC Youtuber, and he had NOTHING but great things to say about BF4 on PS4. I'm sure he'll say pretty much the exact same about X1, unless there are noticeable differences.

Excited for the new map.

FYI, guys, we have a large BF4 thread running in the multiplat section of the forum.

So I'm assuming the take away is it looks great for a console game, still a little rough around the edges but it's coming along?

Not defending the one guy who said it looks muddy. But it's more than possible for him to say that and not really contradict what everyone else is saying.

Point in case, I'm sure everyone can agree that GTAV looks great for what it's doing and running on, but it still can look muddy at times and the jaggies can be unsightly.

Well to be truthful I have seen people complain about the PC version of the graphics and how it looked like BF3.5.

As long as it's a consistent 60 FPS I don't mind if doesn't look quite as sharp as the PC version.

wow, that actually looks pretty damn good! 64 players, steady FR, and I'm all in!

Yeah, just from that short snippet above, you can already tell that anyone complaining about how it looks is most likely not going to be pleased by anything otherwise.

It looks really good.

That map looks awesome! Sort of a combo between Caspian Border and the forest-y CTF map from the last BF3 DLC. So psyched for this game.

GTAV's jaggies can be so distracting for me at times. I honestly was incredibly disappointed by the graphics when I first started the game, as I wasn't expecting them to be anywhere near that bad. I'm surprised how few people I see complaining about them online. As long as PC / Next Gen versions have anti-aliasing of some sort, I can't imagine how much better the game will look to my eyes.

I don't even care about the graphics as much as how fast and smooth the guy looked when he was playing.....60fpsftw:bang:

what were you expecting with 8 year old hardware.

I little right up from a guy at GAF that went today on BF4 and Titanfall

I decided to go Thursday and Friday this year thinking it might be quieter then the weekend but is the busiest one I've been to in 3 years. Lines were huge even just to get into the expo.

First game I played was Battlefield 4 on Xbox One. Graphics looked really good from a distance and framerate was silky smooth. However having to play the demo from about half a metre away did not do the game any favours. Textures looked muddy but I had the experience with all console games I've tried when playing as close as you'd normally play a PC game with much higher resolutions.
Controls felt great and I really liked the Xbox One controller. Feels a little but smaller then 360 controller. Analogue sticks feel really great as do the triggers. D-pad has awesome distinct "click" to it now and much improved.
The map was a new map not shown off before. Set in a forest area with industrial buildings, tanks and quad bikes around. I saw people using choppers while I was waiting to play but I never saw one while I played.

Next I played Titanfall. Before you played the game you got to a certain section of the line that let you sit down and watch an introductory video to the game that explained a lot of the mechanics with wireless headphones. This was a nice touch especially given how long the line had been and allowed you to go into the game knowing how a lot of the game worked. When I finally got to play it I was instantly impressed. Game was a blast to play and easy pick up and to get into. Was able to pull of some amazing looking manoeuvres and was just a really exhilarating experience. My wife came out raving about it and had almost no interest in it before we played it even though I'd shown her the gameplay trailer. Pretty much sold us on getting two Xbox Ones to play this and Battlefield 4. I had been heavily leaning towards getting a ps4 instead. Will probably get one down the track though.
Hope you guys don't mind me posting this stuff from GAF. Alot of those guys got to go to the expose today.
