Can't wait.

Let me guess. Sony is leading? DERRR

The cheaper console with the same multiplats? No way!!!

Question will be by how much. Definitely expecting the sales of both consoles to drop from last month.

But X1 has all these features and services that absolutely make up for that $100 price difference.

But wait, according to X1 fans, the same fans that said that, it's all about the games.

So since the PS4 is cheaper and has the same multiplat titles that are noticeably (note how I didn't say majorly or drastically) prettier/better performing it IS all about the games. So in the end those services and features don't actually make up for that $100?

Now I'm confused.

And ps3 caught up to 360 costing more and having worst multiplats and out a year less.

I suspect that even if the cost was the same, ps4 would still be ahead.

It simply depends on the person. Some people will find the different games and features worth the extra $100 while others (who possibly just care about multiplats) won't.

I was referring to North America (NPD). PS3 didn't catch up to the Xbox 360 in North America and if the Xbox One was the cheapest console, it would more than likely be ahead of the PS4 in North America.

Being the cheapest console for new gen multiplats is a great position to be in in America since the territory loves AAA multiplats and has many people who pretty much only play multiplats (aka "dudebros" that play sports games and COD).

Worse then last month

Last month was a 60,000 gap. Can't see it being more than that since I'm expecting the sales of both the Xbox One and PS4 to drop... there weren't any major game released on either console in April plus the April NPD period was four weeks (instead of five).

Yeah I would think sales for both will be lower but we'll still see the same results, PS4 beating out the X1 in what was the 360's strongest territory by far last gen.

Gotcha, if you're referring to only NA, than "maybe".
It seems like people are beginning to move away from dude bro games, they've become so typical. So yeah, maybe, but maybe not.

I think many are starting to get tired of the typical shooters. Sports still seem to be popular/well received though.

No kidding.
As it is, TF only sold a bit over 900k in its first 3 weeks between XB1 and pc. For the most hyped game that won so many best in show awards.....that really isn't all that much.
That tells me that shooters are beginning to grow long in the tooth.

Going to be really interesting to see how Destiny does. $500 million budget (mostly marketing) but the game looks very "been there done that" to me.

Destiny is going to have a hard time breaking even.

Ain't NDP out this week? Interesting to see sales in the slow game month of April.

I didn't think digital sales were released? Did EA announce the sales?

as far as I know, digital sales and bundles haven't been included on any metrics for the sales of TF.
Ah, ok..good to know. So unless EA speaks up, it seems won't know. VG says abot 2.5 million sold right now, but I don't trust them, and they have no idea on what was sold digitally.

What's the reason for holding back digital sales? Maybe it's not selling as much as they had hoped.

Quick question naty, how many games this gen or last that have a retail and digital release have you ever seen them announce the digital sales?

How many digital sales for Ryse, Killzone, Knack, Plants vs Zombies? Maybe we should just assume every game released is not selling as much as they hoped.

derp.
