2014 Sony E3 conference discussion thread.

DriveClub. Sony blew their load with exclusives for PS3 last year. This is the price they pay for doing that.

And yet sony fans love them for it because they know sony will support the hardware up til the end with good games. I just love how ps4 continue to outsell xb1 with almost no AAA exclusives. Sucks for ps4 only owners though. The drought is real.

Uncharted 4's graphics are on a whole different playing field, just amazing.

I agree, but I want to see the character moving around with a controller in game. The last sorcerer looks very comparable but its the same thing, not actual gameplay with physics and AI integrated, thats what people don't weigh in, thats very costly on horsepower.

Please Nintendo save this E3 for me. I recently got a Wii U, first Nintendo system since the GC, I really want to relive some more of the memories.

Great conference. I'm tired and need to take a break, but here were the highlights for me:

- Destiny: looked more fun this time
- The Order: great lighting, immersive atmosphere, want to play
- Entwined: looked good
- Infamous DLC: interesting that you don't have to own the game to play it
- LBP: not my thing, but cute
- Bloodborne: not my thing, but I'm sure this will get some attention
- Far Cry 4: looked like tons of fun; the free MP for friends is a nice bonus
- Dead Island 2: funny trailer, but I'm tired of zombies
- Last of Us: must buy; no mention of a release date?
- BF Hardline: not typically my thing, but looks like it might be fun
- Magicka 2: look forward to it
- Grim Fandango: great!
- Talos Principle: maybe, need to see more
- Suda 51: not my thing, but interesting
- ABZU - yes, please. Anyone who was involved with Journey has my money.
- No Man's Sky - oh yeah, looked really fun to explore
- PS Now July 31: good
- PS TV: I'll probably get one, to get access to Vita games, unless the Vita gets real cheap
- Mortal Kombat X: lol
- GTA V: nice, I haven't played this on current gen yet, so I'll wait; coming Fall
- Rocksteady: tired of Batman, but looks good
- Uncharted 4: expected, but still nice to see it show up.

No disappointments and a few surprises. Plenty of games that I want to play, including several exclusives. Sold. I was waiting for E3 before I made my final decision, and this solidified it. I didn't see anything in the MS conference that swayed me, and Sony gave me several more reasons than I already had to get a PS4. Gamespot is running a special this week, so I'll probably do a swap in a few days. Next gen, here I come.

But for now, I need to get some air, lol.

The Last of Us Remastered release date is July 29. If I am not mistaken.

I have not watched Sony conference yet so which was better Sony or MS?

About even in my book. For me Sony announce more features I wanted than games I wanted, but as long as I'm in their ecosystem, I think they could care less.

So GTA V is PS4 exclusive? Weird... Not that I care honestly. I don't feel like retreading the damn game all over again.

TLOU Remake, Driveclub, and LittleBigPlanet 3 for 2014

Good but not earth shattering exclusives, Uncharted 4 trailer was great, Bloodborne was the big exclusive announcement. Again strong showing from multiplats.
Sounds like both conferences had what gamers wanted which is great games but neither really killed the other. I liked what Phil Spencer said that this gen is going to be good for gamers no matter the platform they pick.:)

Well why Didn't Microsoft announce it this morning..............

As of right now it looks like I will be selling my PS3 for a PS4. Still some interesting games for the Xbox One, but I feel PS4 just really has the momentum currently behind them.

GTA5 was the only real reason I still have my PS3, looks amazing on PS4

Dude it's called a business. You do know Sony probably opened their checkbook to get GTA on stage? Maybe MS didn't needed them there or didn't have time for them. Who knows how that process went for Rockstar.

It's really funny how Microsoft and Sony keep switching places. Microsoft has more exclusives right now, they've talked about nothing but games recently. Sony is relying on third party developers right now like Microsoft did late last gen. Sony talked about TV and movies this time around.. I think it's safe to say everyone just needs to give up the hating and enjoy it while it lasts. We're in a new golden age of gaming. Anyone saying there isn't enough games to play is off their rocker.

Uncharted 4's graphics are on a whole different playing field, just amazing.

It was a pre-rendered movie... and I think the Blur pre-rendered Halo 2 cinematics look easily as good, if not better.

The good news, though, is that gamers have a ton of great third party games this holiday.

Great conference. I have to take some points off for the sag halfway through, but I'm old enough to be used to E3 being 80% games and 20% other crap, so this is just how conferences usually are, imo. I'd give it a B overall, although I think they knocked it out of the park in the first hour.

I'm tired and need to take a break, but here are my reactions:

TLoU Remastered coming July 29, 2014. Shown at end of trailer. It looks really good.

Dude it's called a business. You do know Sony probably opened their checkbook to get GTA on stage? Maybe MS didn't needed them there or didn't have time for them. Who knows how that process went for Rockstar.

IMO it most likely fell in line with their marketing deal from last gen. Since it is still GTA 5 they most likely have to honor that deal.

Maybe a drought for exclusives (Drive club and TLOU should tide people over) but multi platform wise, EVERYONE is going to eat good this fall.

Like I thought, 3rd party is king this year, but man does FC look awesome. Little Big Planet 3 does actually looks amazing though and I can't wait for that as well.

It's ND. You don't have to worry about the graphics department, I can assure you.

Really depends on your taste in games. I'd say they were pretty even, objectively. My preference is for the Sony lineup, but everyone's different.
