id seemingly not planning to involve wider public in the unveiling
id will reveal the new Doom game at QuakeCon this month, but doesn't plan to share the long-awaited unveiling with anyone outside of show attendees, it seems.
"You've been clamoring for it for years, and now the wait is almost over," teased id in a new announcement on Tuesday. "Fans in attendance at QuakeCon 2014 will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek at what's been going on with the new DOOM game from id Software," it confirmed,
as was teased at E3. But it seems the treats in store will be exclusive to attendees only.
"This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our Annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation," said the developer.
"We'll have plenty more to show everyone at a later date, but we didn't want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years."
QuakeCon 2014 takes place from July 17-20 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. The event is open to the public and free of charge, but all attendees
must pre-register.
