Popular Mechanics: Xbox One is one of the 10 Breakthrough Products of 2013

If the Kintect works like they say it will work...how can you not see it.
True. If this paves the way for generations to come to move towards voice commands and what not, then by definition it would be revolutionary. I believe we could be seeing just that.

Thats what we're seeing mate. There are many who don't want to believe this but its happening and it'll become more main stream now because the Kinect is included with every box. Motion control gaming and entertainment voice and gesture controls will become a staple. It literally isnt going anywhere and will improve over time. Count on it.

Same thing happened with including hard drives and rumble feature. Look, you don't include extra hardware to your console unless you're absolutely certain it will deliver on all fronts, that it works the way it is intended.

What you don't do, is include extra hardware to your console if you know its essentially a beta test or a risk shot, especially releasing a new type of device out into the wild that isnt fully understood. You offer those as options. You allow the customer to enter at their own risk with it and see how well its received.

Now consider, Microsoft was able to test their ambitions with the Kinect v1, and with it they were able to see just how well consumers would adapt to the hardware or if it had any legs at all to warrant moving forward with it., what worked, what didn't, what needed improvements, what needed to stay and what needed to go and how they could improve on that particular experience. That phase or testing ground was already accomplished with the Kinect v1.

Kinect v2 is the realization of all that data, experience and knowledge. Now you tell me....do you really think Microsoft would include it if they weren't certain that it would change the game and give a considerable edge against their competition? You don't have to believe me mate.

Just wait until the X1 is released.

I had a beta player growing up...nothing ever will seem too big to me lol

th

As Bunz point out, it is relatively similar to the size of a PS3 Fat, no where close to a 70's VHS player, not even as big as my AVR, or my HTPC which is in a silverstone case

The XBOX ONE looks slick as hell to me. About as big as an original PS3 60GB. It is also thinner than the original XBOX360. It looks like MS went back to basics with the XBOX ONE meaning it seems like they built the thing like the original XBOX which was built like a tank, but it doesn't weight nearly as much.

Kinect is more revoutionary than rumble & add on hard disk,as it have practical real life applications beyond gaming.

Anyway, I was reading the hobbit on the plane to Stockholm this afternoon, & was on the part where gullum & Biblo are playing riddles.
I was thinking wouldn,t it be cool, if there is a daily quiz on xbox live, to check if you or your partner are better at riddles or maths or general knowledge. The first one to shout out the right answer scores. Only possible with voice control recognisation for 2 persons or more. It replace the limitation of answers limited to mulitiple choice questions.
