What about 1st party? Did MS play a joke on ND and make them believe they were actually a 3rd party dev under a parity clause? Last time I checked 1st party games struggle to get this monster specs you expect on ps4. Not a single 1080p/60fps game yet.
lol see

Guess not

Oh noes, there is an xbox logo on a video of a game coming to xbox which is posted on the xbox youtube channel, lets all freak out and pretend we haven't seen all the other footage and this footage is exactly the same as the previous footage.

You and the other dumb ass gamers are acting like this is the same as Sony using PGR footage for one of their games or something.

Eh, not sure why I am bothering. I'm out.

No more needs to be spun

The Xbox defense is sstroooooonnnngggg round here

Oh wow, that would be pretty hardcore. I really don't think I could take playing two huge Witcher games back to back. That would almost be like playing Oblivion and Skyrim back to back! No thanks lol.

Would definitely sap my enjoyment of Witcher 3 if I get it.

I know I keep repeating myself, but I am having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around the fact that we've seen almost no console gameplay and the game is two weeks from release. So crazy!! Has any high profile game ever done this before?

Its coming man. I think tomorrow

I see Xbox prompts when i tried my DS4

This totally depends on the game; for instance, this is a PC shot:

Newer games are going to continue the trend and we already know CDPR is doing this with W3.

We know CRPR is doing what?

I only tried the DS4 a few times didn't like using a mod to make it work so I went back to the XB 360 and now the Hori XBO.

I personally don't think anything I've seen so far of TW3 looks visually impressive, definitely not as visually impressive as when TW2 came out.

Nah its definitely a step back from that release. The more I see it, the less I'm impressed actually. Not bad at all, but no next level stuff imo.

A step back from Witcher 2? I don't really understand what you mean.

I don't think he's saying it's a step back from TW2, but the visual wowness compared to what else is out there at release.

TW2 when it released was top 5 best looking games out there, TW3 won't even be in the top 10 best looking games when it releases.

Ah i understand what you guys mean now. Yeah i can agree with that. Witcher 2 on PC was crazy at the time, hell it was damn impressive on 360 too at times. the wowness is indeed not there, but honestly...that's how this gen so far been for me anyway. That's not to say i don't enjoy gaming on my Xbox One a damn lot, but it's exactly like the developers in general said, the step from PS360 to X1/PS4 is not as big as Xbox to Xbox 360 and PS2 to PS3.

Anyway, one of the developers from CDPR replied to my questions in private messages. He said he also doesn't understand why X1 footage hasn't been released yet. He's not from marketing, but expects that this week or next week we'll finally see footage. I asked this guy about the differences between the console versions and i also explained what that guy claimed on the forum about worse level of detail and texturing. He said he did the playtesting for the X1 version and that it looks great, same as PS4 in terms of level of detail and texturing, except for resolution. Good to know, now let's see it.

100% agreed. Maybe it's just that those PS3 videos are so compressed, that it's hard to tell....but to me, in my opinion, it doesn't look terribly different from W2.

I think the art direction helps. It looks great.

But the game isn't as polished as I was hoping it would be. Animations look stiff, the pop in is definitely there and objects vanish when you get close to them.

But It looks beautiful overall in my opinion. The art direction is definitely a step up from Witcher 2.

It should be a step up. For crying out loud, W2 came out 4 years ago.

Thing is, in comparison to a game that came out 4 years ago....the "step up" is just a minor step up.

I'm with eVo7 on this, it's simply not impressive. It looks good, but so do many other games that's been out for the past few years.

I'm just saying that I think it's a pretty game. Not that it's the new standard.

Hopefully it's more fun in an open world setting. I liked that aspect from the original game.

The combat looks a lot faster. Almost a little too fast however. I like a little weightiness in my games.

Bit like Souls would be good i think.

As for graphics, in general it's not looking like the very first trailer or even the 35 minute video last year. This is for example, the effect seems gone, but the overall look..is that just perhaps time of day or definitely a downgrade?

Ok, we have some PS4 footage, apparently. Looks Great!

Stop your worrying people!

Now give X1 footage! I think it's obvious MS doesn't have the exclusive rights to marketing the game.

Have they even shown that effect in recent videos? That's the only vid where I've seen him use that power in water. Bit premature. Moment to moment lighting condition can change the look dramatically.

Everything in the Witcher 2 was preset. The set pieces were small and there weren't any dynamic systems. In context of scale, the Witcher 3 is a huge step up from 2. It's like the Order. Sure they make a great showing on small (in comparison) levels, but TW3 is doing so much more that Even looking on Par with TW2, it's still a big step up from a tech standpoint.
I guess we just mean as an image, and not on a whole-scale level?

Which video shows this effect is missing?
