Word you are hearing? Ok...from who? Cause a dev from CDPR told me today in a PM the level of detail, framerate, texturing , pop in, is all exactly the same as PS4, just not the framerate. It would be a real bad look if this turns out to be lies, bad look on the dev.
its what I was told... Won't disclose by whom.
Only thing I heard(besides less pixels) is the pop in was worse on the XBO.
Maybe you can ask them about the fps.

I don't get the level of paranoia some had about this game, sure it would have been great to see the console versions more (both have been shown now, one was just a long time ago) but some people (not so much on this forum) made it sound like they thought we'd be getting xbox 360/ps3 graphics at a higher res or something and that clearly was never going to be the case.
This I disagree with. Hiding footage of one or more platforms versions is a red flag and in fact I heard a few podcasters who played the console version earlier in the year, say that it actually did look like a last gen game.

Really? I hadn't heard one person say that who played it earlier in the year. All I heard were positive things about it on consoles other than the framerate being a bit wonky. Now I did hear some saying the PS4 version looked better than the Xbox One version but I didn't hear anyone say that either version looked bad or last gen, just that they still had some polishing up to do.

As far as hiding footage, CDPR is a PC centric developer and the PC version of the game is likely what was ready to be shown the earliest. None of us really wanted to wait for console footage but I think now that we've seen the PS4 version running just fine and looking great that maybe we should cut them some slack and give them credit for knowing what they are doing. If we had seen this 6 months ago the frame rate likely would have been far less stable and people would have focused almost completely on that.

That;s interesting cause giuseppe from Dualshockers told me this when i asked him about pop in and texturing:

''Cna't remember seeing anything too glaring on that. The only real issue I saw was aliasing (which you won't see much here whether it's there or not, because Youtube), but that's a constant on open world games on consoles.''

Today i messaged one of the devs from CDPR , he actually replied and once again said...both versions are the same, except for framerate. Same level of detail, same texturing, same amount of pop in,all that.

Very odd then, sounds like they made great progress in a few months time then. Cause multiple sites had nothing but praise about Witcher 3 on Xbox One. In fact a few months ago there were previews and it said the console versions were already doing really well.

What are the chances of that CDPR has already sent footage to Microsoft and MS is now busy approving it? It took Sony less time to do that and MS is taking their sweet time?

To say they are the same visually is automatically suspect though as we all know the PS4 has 33% more pixels.
Which=better visuals.

As far as the assets both should be close to identical.

I gave this guess earlier I will put it here again... It might perform better on Xbox One due to the lower res and the lower the res the more cpu dependant a game gets AND I will add open worlds rely more on the cpu then the gpu.
Plus the Xbox One has a slightly better cpu.All points to Xbox One having the performance advantage in tw3 imo.

Could be wrong

The dev said...it's the same as PS4, except for resolution. They have said that for a while now. I'm gonna go ahead and assume it will be similar to DAI on Xbox One and PS4, very similar and PS4 sporting the 1080p resolution. if that's the case, i am more than ok with that. But this silence shouldn't go on for too long anymore, cause that's a rather bad look.....i sure am expecting Xbox One reviews and footage before launch.

Didn't that Gamespot video show both versions running side by side? The Xbox One version looked great from what we could see in that brief glimpse.

Ya and it looks smooth there too, but it's also waaaay too little to really judge it. Enough with these small glimpses and sites telling us how good it looks, it's about damn time for footage, sjeesh.

It's not like the guy is gonna tell you the game looks like ass and to not give them your money... The guy in those GameSpot videos last week said all versions look great. I would trust someone doing articles on the game before someone who worked on the game and wants to get paid.

I'm thinking what we get at launch won't be the same 3-5 months down the road. I'm betting this game gets some AC:U performance patches.

Agreed man, but my point kinda is that the developer could have ignored my PM, like all the other developers did on the forum when asked about anything Xbox One.

Did Ubisoft take over development of The Witcher 3 or something?
Nope, I don't think it will be that bad, but judging by the vids they looked pressed for time on consoles.

I still need to beat both adventures,Is it achievable before number three comes out tho? And I just brought project cars on pc.

Well Witcher 1 is a pretty good game. I have it on PC as well as W2.
W1 is still kind of buggy even the enhanced edition. w2 is a great game. Altogether you have to devote some serious game time to completing both adventures before w3 drops.

Ok, we have some PS4 footage, apparently. Looks Great!

Stop your worrying people!

Now give X1 footage! I think it's obvious MS doesn't have the exclusive rights to marketing the game.

Surprised it looks this good TBH.
Shadow pop in and 30fps being the real obvious concessions here. Otherwise looks great on PS4.

Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six used to be good. :/

That was well over a decade ago though.

Attacking a man while he is naked, Ned Stark does not approve.

Also, this is PS4 footage too & a different video.

It's too bad the compression is so bad in that one but you can still tell the game looks great.

Maybe he was trying to quiet you down to prevent an uprising. :p

BTW, that was me on the official forum replying to you.

Ok Microsoft should just go and f*** off right now.

Sony has their footage out for everyone to see and what does the Youtube Xbox channel post?

LMAO!
