Battlefield 4 Kinect Settings Guide (For Xbox One)

We have a screenshot revealing available Battlefield 4 voice commands and settings for Kinect. For the moment we will have to assume this is Xbox One only. These are what you need to know:

  1. Voice commands can be turned on and off.
  2. Dialects can be changed from US, Great Britain, etc.
  3. You can adjust sensitivity to leaning.
  4. Headtracking can be turned on and off.
  5. Freelook sensitivity, likewise, can also be adjusted.
The reason I say this is Xbox One only is because one of the options listed here, head tracking, is clearly not possible with the older Kinect on the Xbox 360. Nonetheless, it may be safe to assume most of these will apply to the 360 version of Battlefield 4 as well. On the other hand, Windows PCs will be getting the same Kinect the Xbox One has, but it won’t be coming until next year.

We’re listing recognized Kinect voice commands below:

  • medic
  • need medic
  • need healing
  • go go go
  • affirmative
  • roger
  • thank you
  • need ammo
  • need ammunition
  • need a ride
  • need pickup

There is some debate among fans about the usefulness of the Kinect features, even from the source, but if implemented correctly these features can definitely open up gameplay options for players who want it. Leaning left and right and head tracking can make the game even more intuitive than it is now, and voice commands have proven their usefulness, even if they are not considered a necessity.

I won’t share it here, but there is an interesting discussion at the source explaining why these features can’t be replicated with the camera on the Playstation 4. If you’re curious, click through and judge for yourself.

But it is a big deal..it's huge..it's colossal, I mean if games aren't 1080p 60fps then the world is going to come to screeching halt..people won't be able to go to work, children will starve, garbage will start pilling up and eventually the internet will shut off leading to millions of suicides. Think of the children god damnit..THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

LOL. Days like this I miss playing Coleco Vision and Atari 2600. Resoluton didn't mean anything,but my console had better looking stick figures than yours!

According to Sony and Microsoft, both devices should allow Elgato Game Capture HD to record gameplay via HDMI.

Would be funny to guys like CBoat if indeed the PS4 is the 720p machine.

Battlefield 4 on PS4 is 900p on PS4. So speculation could be rampant, but this is where they are at now.

Also COD Ghosts has framerate issues to be ironed out by launch. Both machines.

One more bit of information, but working on getting another source for that will be nigh impossible, I have informed Kagari about it.

If what Thuway said is true, COD:G has fps issues on both PS4 and X1...

I didn't want to buy COD:G on PC. :|

There are more than just games that I personally are looking forward to. Not to mention the X1 screams quality and innovation! On top of that, there are a few games I'm also looking forward to, but then there are also features I can't wait to use. f*** all! Are you upset because the Ps4 is behind the curve again?

And for the record, the X1 could end up out shining the PS4 just like the 360 did the Ps3. If you remember, the PS3 was touted as the second coming as well, and still was properly served consecutively. Its not a far stretch of the imagination for the X1 to do the same. The games we've seen thusfar, certainly suggest its possible. That doesnt compute to you because your still waiting on paper specs to somehow manifest this more powerful console, when in reality, its just a sheet of potential.

The problem is many know that Sony could use a win, and they want to root for the underdog. I'll probably still pick up a Ps4 next year but I'm still not sold on this new Sony. For the last few months, all we've heard is what we've always heard. Yet, not one game in Sony's stable shows the alleged more power crap. To boot, Sony fans are grasping on to whatever they can to claim a victory over the X1 for insecure reasons. Its pathetic.

Firstly, it's D Wayne to you :tounge:

Secondly, it's not a first class launch if the multiplatform games on it are second rate compared to the same games on the competitors console.

Thirdly, it is a big stretch of the imagination to think the One will outshine the PS4.Certainly when it comes to games and gaming performance.

Fourthly, COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and NFS Rivals say hello and apparently confirm that the PS4 is more capable when it comes to playing games.

Fifly(I'm making words up here but what evs!) Why would I be "upset because the Ps4 is behind the curve again"?
I'm disappointed because the console I was planning on buying looks like it is going to have inferior multiplats.
