Does anyone miss the Teamxbox forums?

I do. But only because my phone keeps trying to change VGF to Vid. Other than that, I J'Adore this crew.

I don't....we're mostly the same group of posters, so it's really no different.

Not really, I mean, don't get wrong, the forum had some pretty fun and exciting moments (sewer rat hack) and hilariously dramatic posts about the platform wars, but overall, the general vibe is the same and I enjoy the look and feel of this forum over TXB.

I don't miss the forums. I do miss some of the people from years ago though. Mostly people from the OTL.

Not really, no. Unless you're talking about the TXB heyday, back in the first 5 years or so after the original Xbox was released, when the enthusiasm was so strong. I miss that. And I guess I miss some of the really outrageous trolling that went on at TXB, when there was no one who was really modding the place anymore -- or rather, the mods didn't have time/energy to do much besides delete bot after bot after bot. But overall, no, I don't miss TXB, especially not what it became in those last few years.

Andy's reply the first time this was asked here:

"The early years of TXB were a lot of fun (1999 to ~ 2006 or so). It declined after that, and it was pretty screwed up in last year or two. I miss the early part.

Not so sure about the last couple years. On the one hand, there was more traffic and so more diverse game conversations than we have here. On the other hand, there was uncontrolled trolling, fanboyism, and personal attacks, not to mention spambots, that made reading TXB ridiculous at times. On the other other hand, while it's nice to have a cleaner environment here, some of that idiocy and out-of-control posting at TXB was entertaining, in the way a train wreck is entertaining."

Are you trying to start something, Kvally? :tounge: Those are pretty consistent responses.

Not that I would expect consistency from me, necessarily. I change my mind pretty often.

Nope I was pointing out you are consistent.

i miss the political playground, stone cold, spartan2 and her dirty talk. she even married a txb'er!

One of the best things about these forums though, is that mods and admins love their peons!

Plainview has promised to make us a Lindsay Lohan theme. Its going to be amazing when he drops it!

It will be like Beyonce's album all over again!

What's going on, Gren? Thought I remembered the name when I approved you. Welcome.
Living old memories with Halo Infinite MP release. We should all hop on and tear it up. I have fond memories of hosting massive Unreal Tournament and Mech Warrior games while in college.

Dad and Public Enemy were legends.

I'm Grendel602 on XBL.

TXB and the offshoot OTL Live Forum was goddamn legendary. What's up old heads?
let it go wow GIF by Red Bull
