Why God? Why!?

I actually use video rental stores. To be fair, the one I use isn't Blockbuster, but this is sad. :(

I could have sworn this happened years ago.

How time flies.....Years ago, Heard nothing but complaints about how Blockbusters and Barnes and Nobles were destroying the moms and pops shops and the small business book and movie rental outlets........

Warp 20 years into the future, now it's Amazon, Netflix, Hulu etc that's doing it to Barns and Block.....Karmas a Bitsch I guess..........

I guess they should have rented porn like Family Video.

lmao

BlockBuster closed but Family Video is still running well here.

Aside from the porno, they actually have really good prices for their rentals. Anyway, I'm not impressed with their porn selection compared to what is on the internet.

The Blockbuster in my city closed up shop like a week after GameStop moved in right next to them lol. The writing's been on the wall for years now.

It's kinda sad seeing all these rental shops going down. It's like a part of my childhood dying off.

The Family Video here in my area doesn't have porn.

How could you justify being called "Family Video" and sell that for rent?

All their porn is probaby censored with pictures of kittens. Although, that said, how can anyone justify shopping for porn at retail? Do these people have any internet at all? That said, it does sort of makes me sad. Truth be told, Family Video and Red Box have been taking all the business for retail and Netflix has grown to a point where they are the big honcho. I do feel bad for anybody who got screwed out of a pre-order for the X1/PS4. They probably ordered because everyone else was out of spots.

Same here, we had two Blockbusters within 2 miles of each other. The one right next to the GS closed first. I remember buying 3-4 games at 70% off at BB, walking next door to GS and trading them in for $10 or so profit each. I got to do it all over again when the second BB closed a year later and then again when the FYE that was next to the BB closed up shop.

Scored a bunch of game deals and clearance items from bb. gonna miss you guys for sure.
