Fair enough. I have deleted the post.
I made my point, in which I hope Val gets the message about his never ending anti-MS posts.
As if you are Any better with your anti Sony posts, Pot meets Kettle.

One thing I don't like about "Generations being over" is that half the fun of a console reveal, was seeing the new control.
I love the idea of keeping my controllers, but it does kind of muffle some of the fanfare.
(And woah, the vibe got a tad awks. My step mother is a real b****... But luckily my dad died, so I never see her anymore.)
This thread sucks. I'm just going to assume it's console war nonsense going by the title and then give my two cents.
PS4 has the best single player exclusives. Xbox has the best multiplayer exclusives. Both are great for multiplat games. Online service is about the same on both at the end of the day. DS4 is better than Xbox One basic controller simply because it made more improvements. Elite controller is the best controller this gen. Wii U has more exclusives than PS4/X1 combined. Don't believe me, here you go.
Didn't watch the whole thing, so maybe he addressed the fact that if you only were able to get one of those systems, few to none of those games on th XBone or PS4 lists are even available for the WiiU.
And that's the issue with Nintendo. Having those exclusives isn't much of a boon if you have only the WiiU. Every third party game becomes an exclusive to other platforms as far as you would be concerned.
Exactly.Yup, that was the point of the post. That every console has it's purpose and that a PS4/Wii U combo or Xbox One/Wii U combo is vastly more ideal than a PS4/Xbox One combo. Everyone keeps arguing which is better when they're both the same at the end of the day.
At the end of the video he said the truest thing i've ever heard - "So which console do you buy? The answer is as simple as it is obvious, you buy the one that has the games you want to play". People need to get over it, lol.
Except. You. Are. NOT. Still. Dealing. With. A. Jaguar. Same offer as I made Val - DF says it's customized to the point they don't list it as a Jaguar. They cite MS employee who says it's not really appropriate to call it a Jaguar. They have the SOC in their possession. If you want to show us your Scorpio Engine and cite your interview with an actual first party source, I'll give your position the merit it would then be due. Until then, pics or it didn't happen.

For sure.I still find it strange when grown men act like children when it comes to gaming. "My console the bezt!" "No your console has no gamez!"
Great time to be a gamer just enjoy what we get from all companies.
In this day and age, I don't think gamers care that much about true exclusives (one platform, no backwards compatibility with old gens). Maybe during the Sonic and Mario heydays it was a battle of mascots and corporate figureheads.Same thing with seeing new games you couldn't play before, now all games have to work on all platforms so we won't see a console with a pretty new game we couldn't play anywhere else. We will just see a prettier version of a game we can play on a machine we already have.
It's not a case of exclusives don't matter, but more of which games do you want. In Ninty's case, you better only like exclusives. The "exclusives don't matter" talk sure didn't happen much on here 2014 and 2015

It's really no different than anything really . The motorcycle forum I'm a member of is 10 times worse than here with the VS crap. Truck forums are the same way with Chevy and Ford . Grown man getting to the point of threatening lives over which brand is better . Personal Passion definitely runs deep . HehDoesn't surprise me really.
People have murdered, or even gone to war over more idiotic allegiances.
There was a guy in Russia not long ago that killed his friend because his buddy liked AMD over Nvidia.
Point is everybody has a favorite, but it shouldn't drive you into fanaticism and intolerance. All 3 consoles have a place, and thank god for that.
Variety breeds competition, and competition breeds innovation. I'm sure that if Sony hadn't released the PS4 Pro, Microsoft probably would have road it out till next generation before they released another system.
Everybody needs variety. I know I'd stop watching porn if it was just granny stuff.
My console the bezt! My console haz the games!I still find it strange when grown men act like children when it comes to gaming. "My console the bezt!" "No your console has no gamez!"

Of course MS employees say it's not appropriate to call it that but that
Of course MS employees say it's not appropriate to call it that but that, they know too many people online raised their expectations talking themselves into all that Ryzen nonsense and don't want them to be disappointed. Clearly it's better than an off the shelf jaguar would be I'm not saying it's not, it is highly customized and it will do more than a standard jaguar would but at the end of the day it's still going to have shortcomings because jaguar based. Again NEITHER console uses a straight up jaguar or an off of the shelf GPU, they both customize these things.
It's not a case of exclusives don't matter, but more of which games do you want. In Ninty's case, you better only like exclusives.
For the others, I will say that I will always go with where I can get Forza and Halo first. I usually end up with both. I usually skip Ninty just because Mario and Zelda arent enough for me (need more I care about).
That's fine though if people prefer Nintendo's or Sonys offerings. Of course, I'm not into the War, myself...
And I have said, again and again and now I'm saying yet again, Digital Foundry details that MS did extensive performance profiling on every shipped game and used that information when they were redesigning the SOC, which includes the CPU.
You keep making the pointless assertion that the Pro and Scorpio are both using non-off the shelf technology. That's not in doubt. What you appear to be unable to acknowledge is that the CPU in the Pro is essentially a straight upclock from the one in the PS4, at least based on what Cerny said, and that the CPU in Scorpio is a redesign of the one in the XB1 and XB1s, according to everything DF has said.
They took a jaguar and made different changes to it than they did before but the base for this thing is STILL a jaguar, a highly customized jaguar yes but it's still going to be the weak point in the hardware and that's 100% ok, all it has to do is run Xbox One level games with higher levels of fidelity it's not a new generation. If you are expecting a huge increase in what the CPU can do over the one in the Pro you'll probably be disappointed, they both started out as the same thing before changes were made to them and the one in the Scorpio is only 200mhz faster. Both companies will make their products based around the specs of the machine they are working on, MS has a total hardware advantage with Scorpio there is no doubt about that, having the talent to take advantage of it in a game is another story. As far as the CPU in the pro it is customized, the one in the standard PS4 is customized so even if it is "just an up clock" it's still a customized CPU and they have been coding around what it has been made to do the entire time.
Not sure why you are so hard stanced on this Jaguar CPU thing. You are clearly missing the point.
The CPU in XB1 and the CPU in PS4 were very similar.
The PS4Pro is a straight upclock (well, plus die shrink) because Cerny was afraid they couldn't be compatible otherwise.
The CPU in scorpio was literally redesigned from the XB1 to address issues in the Jaguar architecture that caused bottlenecks, based on actual performance captures from actual shipped games.
DF doesn't even refer to it as a Jaguar CPU - they say 8 custom x86 cores. DF has the CPU. MS says it's not a Jaguar. They built the CPU. You say it is a Jaguar - pics or it didn't happen.
I don't think anyone is thinking the "custom" cpu is something 10x better. By the sounds of it, it's better in terms of processing and an upclock.IMHO you both are right?
Same Jaguar 'architecture' meaning that it won't magically sprout wings and turn into an i5.
However, it isn't the same in terms of customization so at least we are getting something that doesn't bottleneck the system too heavily.
