Place your betThis game will be a bust. No one is going to pay a game now that everything is locked away a whole year for $60.
Now Anthem is a game that I can get into.

It is different. But certainly isn't immune from the bad eggs. The no matchmaking thing is really getting me closer to cancelling my preorder.
How is throwing up a random LFG post any less random or better than matchmaking?
I still have yet to raid in D1 because of this. I don't have time for this crap to play your end game content. Some 10 year old yelling at me on LFG is no different than some random I'll get off matchmaking.
Heck I'll take someone random from the heroic strike playlist over most squeakers on LFG any day of the week. Just getting 2 others for the damn nightfall or Challenge of Elders is brutal.
As much as you play Destiny.....The no matchmaking thing is really getting me closer to cancelling my preorder.

You haven't done a raid so you don't really know what you are talking about. Nightfall & COE are no great departures from. a strike or lowest tier POE. Raids are more complex.
Now, I am no expert raider in Destiny, but imo you need 1 of 2 thins to raid. You either need one or two people who know exactly what they are doing so they can tell everybody else what to do....or you need a whole team miced up and communicating.
I do agree thouh. No guided games in the hardest content is bulls***.
Absolutly aagre. The tools to find people should all be in the game though. Whether that is matchmaking or something else.

The problem is that hard mode quickly becomes "default" mode as people will level past it pretty quickly and nobody wants to run "normal" mode anymore. (that's the problem too as people who should run normal mode don't and instead want to be carried)
Yeah I said exactly the same thing.
The big issue for me is Bungie is already talking crap and half truths. I mean you can't say you added guided games so more people could experidnce the pinnacle end game content and then later say that feature doesn't work with the actual pinnacle content.
Only way this will work out is if there ks no difference between loot and drop rates between normal & hard...but if that is the case then hard mode is pretty much irrelevant.
You can easily understand how to do it without doing it. You have loads of guides on youtube...and to be honest you should be watching them before trying to raid at this point in time. The raid system is fundamentally flawed. You need experience to complete it, but how do you complete it to get that experience? There's literally no way to understand how to do it without doing it.
I put myself out there on LFG and am honest about my experience and nobody picks me. So, most people lie.
I was hoping they found a way to break up the parts into small stages - keep raids the same length, just break them up and add matchmaking. The kick is you can't advance to the next section until you complete the previous in normal mode. Let me and 5 other randos thrash on learning a piece at a time (you can kind of do this now but not really).
How else are people going to learn? Instead they lie about their experience and hope to get carried.

Why don't you make your own LFG and call all noobs to raid with you. There are plenty of them and withou stupid restrictions your team might fill up quick.
I've watched the guides for the 2 originals and can probably do them. There's no substitute for experience though. I still feel like I'd be a liability, and that's what most people say. The end of the 1st raid seems really damn complicated and the kind of thing that you just aren't going to handle well without experience.
Only time I found that to be the case was with Kings Fall and Touch of Malice. Even looking over LFGs now there are hardly any askinh for specific weapons.I didn't find experience to be the factor on whether I'd get picked up from LFG. It was all about the weapon meta. If you didn't have the right weapon combinations for maximum damage you would have a very hard time of getting picked up for a Raid team. I hope Bungie really balances the weapons this time or it'll be a repeat of that scenario for the sequel.
To be honest no matchmaking for the hardest content has really put me off about the sequel. It was a pain having to balance my table on my knee and constantly refresh it while logged into LFG to do Raids. And the thing of it was I'd get on some really crappy teams that didn't know what they were doing making me realize LFG was no different from in-game matchmaking.
So...
Veteran Rewards - Seems gungie will be bringing some stuff to help Distinguish those who have spent time in D1 and completed certain milestons. Right now they only mention emblems...Pretty much all of them are based on moments of triumpth and are unobtainaboe now. Ones you still can get are reach rank 7 in the AOT book and get over 5K grimoire.
Social Spaces - It appears D2 will have more than one. My prediction is all or most planets will have one. Which makes sense when you consider that toing to orbit is almost gone and they wan't you doing things via the world map instead.
Destinty 1 Event Cut Off Dates - Last Iron Banner August 1st. Last Trials of Osiris August 18th ( I think) every thing else will continue as normal.
I hope we get more than an emblem but I can't really see it happening. A cool D1 vet shader would be nice or some unique armour.
I'm curious about the date cut off. So they are taking out features from D1? Why? It's still a game that's avail for people to buy.
There absolutely is more. They just aren't telling us...right now. A shader is likely. Head over to Bungie.net and read their weekly update.
Everything else will run as normal forever. So yeah, not entirely sure why..perhaps a server issue?
Extremely stupid. PvP just kiled PvE.
I am feeling you after some of these dumb decisions Bungie's been making.
I dunno what they are thinking?
There don't seem to be many who are pleased by this news. So I think Bungie are going to have to explain this change in greater detail.
And yet you could have got god roll weapons many times.I'm willing to give the new perk system a shot. The problem with D1 was that the perks were totally unbalanced. You had multiple versions of perks, one which was clearly better than the others in every way. There was zero tradeoff. You wanted the best perk set and you kept grinding until you got it. For example you had hand loaded or hammer forged. Well, the one was a bigger boost so why would you ever want the other? There were so many perks that were just completely useless. Not situational, just useless.
For me, that was not "fun" but extremely frustrating to get guns and have to dismantle them because of a bad perk roll.
