Don't see that happening nor does it need 2.That's why I said that should be what we get this year as a real PS4K to hold us over, I would never expect the PS5 to be 8TF if it was coming in 2021. Even in 2019 I would expect 10TF.

Pro still has the best looking games and the sales of PlayStation aren't slowing.
Maybe a slim pro or a pro with a UHDBR drive.
Gaming "journalism" is basically TMZ for nerds at this point.
As far as the release date, I'd be fine with a 2021 PS5 if that meant we got a PS4K this year Around an 8TF GPU, 16GB of memory and some kind of improved CPU. I know it won't happen but I figured I'd throw that out there again anyway lol.
I think another iterative console would just piss off the people who bought the Pro. Those are their core supporters. You don't want to annoy your core supporters. It would also make PS5 feel like less of a leap forward, giving people less reason to buy one.
It could but again nobody is forcing anyone to buy an iterative console, many said the Pro was going to piss off people who bought the standard PS4 but it didn't, it's just giving people more options is all, it's not like any console is going to get dumped.
I know a PS4K isn't going to happen but I also don't see a problem with it if it does. I get your point about it making the PS5 seem like less of a jump but that all depends on what the machines are meant to do. If the PS4K is just something that runs current gen games at 4K with improved graphical features it won't take too much off of a new gen system. Hopefully new gen consoles can do more than just raise resolution and effects levels, hopefully they give us higher end models etc.
Sounds like you are looking for a Xbox X but you already have that... Its not hard to see he wants a PlayStation stronger than X.... But offering such a device would leave a bad taste in ps fans mouths and anything above the X would be a next gen machine as X is roughly 5 X the xbo.Did people really think the Pro was going to piss people who owned the standard PS4 off? Why?
I'm not saying it's an issue of the Pro being "dumped" or disregarded by developers. I'm saying it's an issue of having to pay $400, then $400 again two years later. Also an issue of being misled, because Sony positioned the Pro as the mid-gen upgrade; they didn't say anything about another upgrade two years later. The target market for these upgraded consoles are people who love the console enough to want the best version of it. So you're going to ask those people (your most loyal customers) to shell out $400, then two years later, ask them to shell out $400 again, for an even more modest upgrade? Is this PC gaming? That would bug me. I'm pretty confident Sony would get backlash for it.
Well, like you say, it's just a hypothetical. But another upgrade would reduce the size of the power difference between the Pro and the PS5. And you know those types of figures always get thrown around in discussions of new console generations/iterations. "The X is 6 times more powerful than the S." "The Pro is 4 times powerful than the Slim." I just made those numbers up, but you get my point. People are motivated to buy based (in part) on how big the jump is. If you reduce the size of the jump, you reduce the motivation to buy.

It would be a terrible decision for the PlayStation brand this gen to do what you are wanting.

The reason I don't think it'd be a bad idea to delay a real PS5 is even at 8TF with extra memory and an enhanced CPU it's still only going to run current gen games at 4K with additional effects and performance. I don't know that a 10TF machine is really going to look like a generational leap, I HOPE it does but if you look at what the X does for games they do look nice but they jumped 4X what the base console was and added extra memory with a modest CPU upgrade and it doesn't appear to be anywhere near a generational leap regardless of what some fanboys say.
For all of 2018 so far the Xbox One X is outselling the PS Pro on Amazon actually.Sony is prediction that PS4 sales will slow this year and the Pro is doing ok but it's not exactly taking over either, it's still doing better than the One X (at least on amazon) but at that price point it's not a surprise.
The refresh consoles were never meant to take over the base machines when it comes to sales anyway they were just meant to appeal to people who wanted a higher end experience but didn't want to go to PC.
That's why I wish they'd just do a refresh now, something that could truly run current gen games at 4K with graphical enhancements and hopefully a better CPU for better performance and hold off next gen until the power is really there to make a leap that stands out at a console friendly price point. I know it won't happen but I think one more refresh would be fine, I'd buy it

No clue.Does Amazon include European and Asian markets?
I think it's just for the US amazon, if you look at amazon.co.uk or amazon.ca (Canada) their lists for 2018 are totally different.
Looks like amazon stats are US only, at least based on this remark by JinCA.
I had asked whether amazon was global or just for certain territories.
Yeah I mentioned that as well earlier when we had Amazon discussions, showing the Germany url had a different list order.
