I swear that is true. I went out for medical supplies and ended up destroying my truck clearing infestations. I don't know if there is any other game like this on consoles.

I know it's not exactly the same thing but playing ES Online has a similar effect, you go on your way to do a mission/quest and get sidetracked with something else. I've been putting a lot of time into that game this last week and I'm enjoying it.

Loving the Vector. Got it off the Red Talon trader. Unfortunately, I haven't found much 45 ammo, need to find a 45 ammo press.

I just started playing the game last night and so far it's awesome.

I don't understand most of these reviews because while they are small bugs it's by far from being a game breaker.

Got my first camp going and so far pretty good. It took me a while to understand but it's got a bit of the fallout 4 in it. Far as building a place and making sure people are happy what is going on.

So far so good.

Don't spend too much time, effort, resources on the default base. Save 1500 influence and get 6 people in your group and move to one of the other better bases. Just get the basics and then save.

Don't forget that upgrading your command centre will offer you another outpost and you can add a facility mod (can't recall the name) to get a fourth. Pretty sure upgrading the command centre to 3 or 4 gives another outpost slot too. So that gives you plenty of options outside your base facilities...can add power, Water, maybe make one of your resources self sufficient.

Also, promote a leader A.S.A.P as they offer bonuses and an extra facility per leadership role. My current Trader leader gives me Quiet Time which reduces threat level, and he gives me a Trader facility. So I can call a specific trader whenever I want for a mere 100 influence.

I'm still just getting started. But limping back to base with multiple zombies running you down is definitely intense. Lol

Nothing quite matches the sense of intense dread when a Juggernaut shows up unexpectedly on the scene. Also, is it just me, or do melee weapons break really f***ing fast against Juggernauts?

Hey fellow survivors, I have a question. Is the Forge worth building? What I really want is the autoshop to craft true apocalypse ready vehicles but I still don't have the required skills yet. So I was thinking of getting the Forge to fill in for now. I just don't want to waste resources since my community is hanging on by a thread as it is. We're still settling in at our new home at Mike's Concrete.

This game is awesome. Its the most recent example of how so-called professional sites are way off from player reviews/impressions. Its annoying because I'm sure this game lost sales due to negative feedback from those sites. The game is not perfect but I have not experienced a bug that halted a mission or made the game unplayable. Its not a pretty game but its a lot of fun.

Not really. I had it for a short time in my first game and it didn't really offer much. It had 2 unique weapons but they didn't seem all that better than what you generally get looting.

Completely agree on the disparity between reviews and my personal experience.

I have one. Craft custom melee weapons and if you are short on material, you can convert parts to it. I still have it.

I had the auto shop for a short time to upgrade 2 cars, but took it down once I got my leader skill.

I will be setting up a temporary auto shop to craft half a dozen kits and then scraping it.

Does anyone else have a problem with fatigue? Even when it says they have recovered they still have the little bandage icon. All my survivors have it.

Game is awesome btw having great fun can't believe the negative reaction to it.

They might still be recovering from broken bones, burns, etc... That would require a health pack. Usually that fixes the most severe injuries.

I agree. The game is really fun and addictive. Like some here have said, you might go on a food run but then find yourself helping a survivor or taking out an infestation only to have a juggernaut show up.

They need to fix infestations not showing green on map. Not sure if it's because I've cleaned out the area from before or what it is. You can tell by hovering still, but a bit annoying.

Patch is 20GB in size too.

Finished the sheriff's legacy - I wasn't sure if it was triggering properly but it eventually did - just took a while for each step to trigger. I wish there were more of those types of epic gun battles with other human camps.

Going to try for the warlord now!

All plague hearts destroyed so how do I progress the story?

Keep working on your legacy. I'm where you are. Working on my sheriff legacy right now.

You'll start getting radio calls.

I finished last night. It was sort of anti-climatic. Still...I had a great time with this game. I don't mind the extra cash I paid to play early. These days I don't mind a game that knows when to finish. I have trouble dedicating time to the longer titles.

Eventually, I may play my survivors on a different map.

Patch 1.3 went up, why do they need such a big patch for bug fixes? The base game was only 20GB but a patch for bug fixes is 5GB? I hope they are adding some content that they are going to unlock at some point because the two patches so far were huge. It looks like the total game is taking up 26.3GB of space so I am guessing the first patch just overwrote the entire game but this new one supposedly just fixed crashes and diagnostic logging info but it's still significant in size. https://www.stateofdecay.com/2018/06/09/patch-1-3-is-live/

I accidentally had my Xbox One X settings at 1080p and it seemed like the game ran smoother. Is there any benefit to playing at a lower resolution or is my mind just imagining s***?

Did anyone ever get their SOD Year One code for pre-ordering yet?
