Help Picking a New TV

Starting to get interested in a TV again. Probably going to happen when the receiver I'm looking at goes on sale. Already have that picked out (Denon 740h) which will be a nice upgrade over my current Denon. TV though I'm still not sure. Pretty much narrowed down to the Sony X900F, Samsung NU8000, or one of the Samsung QLED models.

I have the Sony and have never been happier with a TV, ever.

The 65Z9D dropped to $1999...
Its 3D,has the most zones and the last tv to use the Backlight Master Drive.

I’ll be looking for a new set in the Spring, probably 65”.

Any suggestions around that time? Anything new coming out?

Are you still anti-OLED?
Yup I am a gamer who has his TV at the center of my entertainment ie I use it with everything(my AVR as well)
My consoles,PCs,Cable,Bluray,Apple 4KTV etc

HDR is heading for a brighter the better future and OLED is stuck under 1000 nits,
Burn in is very real but only the bias deny it.
Blacks are great but black crush isnt with OLED.

I mentioned before I had burn-in with my plasma....any risk with the Sony set you mentioned?

OLED has a very strong retention, but you can use a function and remove it. Friend has it and you can ‘refresh’ it. Still, has a very long retention.

Ok. Thank you. I was wondering if the TCL was any good.
Staring at 55” right now. Only drawback are greys when the entire screen is a solid grey. Lol. It’s the top 1% fastest tv, lag input, on the market as of when I bought it last year. Apps are solid. I was surprised. I never had the intention to use them. Save me $180 on an Apple TV for the living room. I wish they would make a 75”!
