“Strategic Partnership Manager” for Game Publishers in Asian Region
Global Gaming Partnerships & Development team seeks a senior level Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) for game publishing/development partners in Asian region, focusing mainly on Korea. Our key mission is to evangelize Microsoft’s Gaming Vision and Initiatives and to create Win-Win relationships with our gaming partners. This would include acquiring, supporting and releasing premium gaming contents from our partners onto Microsoft platforms such as Xbox One and Windows 10 devices, and establishing new partnerships on new gaming initiatives such streaming game and new subscription services. In this role, SPM will act as the primary point of contact for business with our gaming partners. Also, working closely with other members of GGPD & other internal MS teams, SPM will work as a member of GGPD global team to produce maximum impacts in global market for both our partners and Microsoft.
* This position is based in Tokyo, Japan and will require frequent traveling to Asian countries as well as to USA.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role include…
- Account & relationship management of gaming partners
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key partner contacts and decision makers, including company executives
- Support business operations including managing contracts and updating our new business initiatives
- Create business opportunities with Microsoft Gaming Initiatives
- Identify & acquire key gaming contents for the global business on Microsoft platforms.
- Recommend, champion and advance creative solutions to strengthen partnerships using Microsoft gaming initiatives such cloud solutions and new business models for games
- Create and negotiate gaming business deals working with business development managers
- Help maximize the sales of acquired game contents working with global/regional marketing teams
- Collaborate and work with GGPD and other internal team members to maximize the impacts of gaming business coming out of partnerships this role will build

Ideal Candidate will have…
- At least 5 years of professional experiences, preferably account & partnership management, in gaming industry in Korea, Japan and/or South East Asia
- Experience establishing and nurturing senior-level, long-term relationships with partners
- Enthusiastic about games and/or other entertainment contents
- Verbal and written fluency in Korean language at native level is required
- Verbal and written fluency in English language is required
- Verbal and written fluency in Japanese is a plus
- Skills in other language, such as Chinese, is a plus
