I played a handful of games. I already like it more than blackout or fortnite but that wasn't a high bar to attain. I'll play this game now & again, sure, I just don't play MP games all that often, which only hampers me as I always get clobbered when I do... I'll play a lot more MP when Gears 5 comes out though...

It looks pretty, had trouble in the training mode cos I couldn’t switch the controls to invert the camera....I thought it was a default set to all games in your profile like on the 360 :(
The one thing I miss the most from the 360, why they ditched it on Steve is a mystery to me.

Boo! I don't care how good it is. The fact that they cancelled Titanfall 3 for this just pisses me off. Thanks EA for killing off another fantastic franchise. I refuse to play this game.
It didn't sell well enough for EA. In their mind they didn't kill it, it was DOA. No doubt an opinion born from ridiculous expectations.

TTK is terrible. Loot rarity is crap. Squad only is crap, weapons are just lasers.

Has some nice quality of life things though. The compass, the ping system.

So Titanfall is dead. If this game does well, they will pump all of their resources into making more for this game or possibly a sequal. If it does poorly, Respawn is done. I can't see a scenario where we get a Titanfall 3 now.

Remember that EA paid 500 million to buy Respawn AFTER Titanfall 2 released. I have a feeling that this was planned all along.

No plans for a sequal according to Zampalla. They want to do the same thing Warframe is doing.

Imagine not playing a game because they don't have the game you want in development, but if not enough people play it there's a good chance it will never be in development.

If you want to support the developers, you should at least try it out.

Doesn't really work that way. Titanfall 2 sold 4 to 6 million and that wasn't enough for EA.

Not sure how playing/ not playing a F2P not Titanfall Battle Royale is going matter.

Well considering BF1 sold 15 million units in the same timeframe, you'd think they'd be a little disappointed in those figures. Not saying they should be since they you know, sabotaged it by releasing it at the exact same time, but $$ is $$

Why would you? You can't compare a franchise that steadily grew its fanbase over decades and 12 iterations to one just putting out its second game. That is just silly & unrealistic.

Lack of TF3 is definitely disappointing especially after how great the campaign was. I only tried the tutorial for this last night so don't really have any thoughts into how competition works, but overall it looks good, runs great, and appears to have the same shooter mechanics of TF so that alone has me willing to give it a go. Blackout is the only BR I've played (10-15 matches) and enjoyed it, so I'm going in fairly fresh on BR games. Reading the subreddits though it seems people are excited over it.

this is it right here. No matter how good it is, they killed one of the few original shooters in the past decade to chase a trend.

Imagine not playing a game because they don't have the game you want in development, but if not enough people play it there's a good chance it will never be in development.

Imagine making your point without sarcasm.
They gutted possibly the most unique shooter on the market to appeal to the newest common denominator. They say titanfall 3 is not being worked on. If this is just more game industry secrecy, they need to dial it way back.
Instead of appeasing a company with a holier than thou attitude, I'm staying away to let them know this s*** doesn't fly.
I support titanfall, I bought 1 and 2 and recommended it to everyone I knew that played shooters. I do not support this.

As a consumer, there is very little i can do, outside of complaining on the internet, to show that I don't agree with what they've done than by not playing their new game and not giving them my money. If this were something brand new that took chances and innovated, I might have given it a shot, but it's just a BR game with probable some good controls. They took one of the more innovative fps in a long while and abandoned it for a cash grab at a genre that is already starting to decline. I don't see why on earth I would reward that behavior by playing the game?

I am more than happy to sit out of a non-innovating BR game to prove my point. If more people stood up against crappy things in games that they didn't like, maybe we wouldnt be swimming in loot boxes and season passes. But hey; it might be a good game, so let's put up with the crap that comes along with it.

First, I loved Titanfall 1 and 2. Didn't play as much as I should have, but that was due to life just getting in the way and not having as much free time as I do now.

Secondly, there's been no announcement of Titanfall 3 not happening. It'll probably come out for the next gen during the first two years of the cycle if I really had to guess.

Thirdly, and most importantly, this game is actually fun. I've never understood when people take a "moral high ground" over video games. They are literally just video games. This game isn't anti-consumer, you don't have to purchase anything as virtually all lootbox items are cosmetic. It's a free game that is very polished and very fun. If you don't want to play it then don't play it, that's fine. Just don't throw a little pissy fit because someone's boss told them to do something, it's literally how the world works.

You can still play Titanfall 2. They're not taking down the servers.

Nope. Don't like it then buy it. stop acting like an angry entitled gamer and be grateful for everything.

That sarcasm wasn't at all aimed at you, Almighty_bob.

Wait... what?

Tell that to the billions of dollars being made with the BR genre and the millions playing them.
I didn't mean to make that sound like BR are dead or even dying, but their numbers have peaked. Still millions and millions playing Fortnight. They are still making tons of money, but this game isn't pulling a meaningful chunk away from Fortnight.

It reminds me of when unreal tournament and quake 3 were big. Clones after clone came out, but no one ever matched those two in that genre. We are seeing a lit of this with BR. Lots of clones, but good luck pulling people away from Fortnight.

Not sure where you got moral high ground from. I'm just talking about making your voice heard with your wallet. You got a better way for me to get that point across that will actually matter to to Respawn and EA?

More of a generalization from around the web, mostly at reddit. Not directed at you personally.

Honestly the best way to reach these companies is through Twitter and reddit since they have a lot of outreach in these communities.

I just did the training. Don’t have time to play tonight. Some interesting ideas. Like that ping feature.

Since I have EA Access it gave me 1,000 coins and a free rifle skin and banner.

Looking forward to playing tomorrow night.

Bummed about TF3. Excited to play this, but hate thats three player teams only. 4 players squads is already low in other games, hate having to be selective about who we play with.

The only crappy thing to the 4-6 million is at what price did the majority of those sales come at? The game has regularly been on sale in the single digits from not too much after launch 🙁

Played like 5 matches tonight. I am not good. Only downed one person I think lol. Plunked several others but not enough to down them either. Had fun though.
