Official Thread The Division v. 2

Disagree. I think they could do with an increase on the ammo amount but I certainly don’t hate them.
Of course you do. We gone from double mag size to a measley 10 round increase and all we gained is crappy 15% rof. Nothing to hate there at all.

Like I said, they could certainly do with a bump in the extra rounds. I do miss have a 60 round mag but the 40 round one with the ROF increase will do until they adjust it back again - and i'm betting they will because there is a lot of hate going around for that particular change.

It doesn't do at all. It is s***.

I think there are also +20 round mods for it (or at least some of the weapon types). I haven't really used ARs much, since I've been primarily Rifle/LMG for range/closeup and AR is sort of a more mid-range thing.

Is anyone else having the issue where there are suddenly no more Daily Hard/Challenging missions? I was going to start one yesterday and ended up logging out because I had something come up instead, and since then I haven't seen any available. I played the invaded NOA mission this morning instead, but the extra XP on the daily projects was nice.

I noticed that last night when I logged. No Daily missions were available. They still have not fixed the specialization ammo drop bug either.

I'm at WT5 and 497. Did a solo mission on hard lastnight and didn't find it too hard.
Tried a territory control on alert level 4 and got my ass kicked all over the neighbourhood. Those are no joke.

I suck at this game and I am only trying level 9 side missions. And I went to a side mission that I had already completed. I started the mission and realized I had already done it. Not sure why it was showing up as a recommended mission.

The update caused some kind of problem with daily missions so they disabled them temporarily till they fix it.

I saw that on reddit this morning. It's a shame because Daily Hard missions are about my wheelhouse - except, of course, my pre-existing hatred of the Outcast stronghold. Most Hard missions I can do solo without too much difficulty, while the last time I tried challenging I got through one or two checkpoints by the skin of my teeth and didn't feel like it was worth pushing on with. But I'm still only around 465 GS or so - didn't get much of a chance to play this weekend. I know I'm getting close to needing an upgrade to my rifle, and there's one other piece of equipment that I've had to keep because it's got two blues and a defensive mod and right now those three are required to keep me qualified for activating talents requiring 7+ defensive mods.

Hard has always been easy.

No real reason to do lvl 4 checkpoints as far as I can tell. Hell, lvl 3 was only worth doing for a handful mod blueprints but the mod revamp made that kinda pointless.

The state of this game right now has me a little worried. DPS builds are the be all end all. GS is easy to acheive. Half the content/activities seems pointless. The shole "invasion" aspect of WT5 is a bit meh. The 2 gear sets that drop are not very good.

Right now, it seems like it is only worth logging in to do the dailies.

Thanks to you help I’ve made it to WT5 and my score is hovering at around 450-60. I need upgrades to almost all my gear and weapons for the LMG/Rifle build I’m working on. If only a Police MK17 rifle would drop at or around my gear score I’d be happy. The Sig 716 I’m using now is doing a decent job of it but the MK17 is my favorite rifle right now. So I'm in shape for the harder content.

It seems like my luck has turned for the worst because while I’m getting gear set drops they are always masks, da hekk. Also, I have a lot of side missions left to complete. I know there was a change to mods but I still want them.

Yeah, I haven't seen a Mk17 in a while. They were supposedly nerfed some but honestly I loved them and as strong as they were, they're probably still awesome. I've been using I think an M1A - I know it's got pretty high per-bullet damage, and has the Extra talent so it'll hold 12 bullets plus one in the chamber. I tried the 1886 and the high per bullet damage is nice but only 5 bullets with individual reload makes it almost a non-starter for me. The 12-13 bullets seems to be less of an impediment than I thought when switching from the MK17 - if I am needing to shoot that many bullets at once it's probably time for the LMG to come out anyway.

I imagine the mods will be reworked again a time or two. There are some where there are two mods giving the exact same bonus (like a +5 accuracy or +10, I forget), and I haven't even really gotten most of them yet so it may be worse. I think the ideal scenario is a hybrid of what was there - some that have stronger bonuses and penalties, and then some mods that just give a small positive so there's always something you can do. I know there was a mod slot that I never used to use with one of the weapon classes because the only mods I had were really bad for my playstyle.

I've heard now that doing the missions for gear set items should be postponed until you're at 500 so you get higher rated gear set pieces. I don't know that I'm going to use them anyhow, though.

Game looks extremely washed out with hdr on, same as rdr2, looks fine with hdr off though. Played through until reaching white house, game didn't feel great imo but I'll continue anyway.

That is definitely not true for me. You may need to dig around the game settings.

I agree with Forzpot, you might have a setting wrong. I can't imagine the game with HDR off (I tried it). It just looks awesome with HDR on. Not washed out at all.

Ummmm, I may have a problem with skill mods. I trashed many of my lower level mods before I really knew what I was doing but the higher level mods require so much skill power that I'd have to ditch a lot of great talents just to increase my skill power to activate some rather underwhelming talents from the mods. I see no way to acquire mods that don't require so much skill power, the skill system in this game is borked in my opinion.

I am no longer solely focused on Gear Score after last night. I switched around some gear to get some more talents active which brought my score down by about 15 points but I kill things quicker. I got lucky with some lower level purple items with more damage to elites and now I'm melting them and I don't even have the best weapons yet. So my current build of something like 465 out performs the build I had that hovered close to 480.

It doesn't on my set though.... settings looks great on every other hdr game...idk
In-Game settings has several sliders to adjust for your set. Contrast, brightness, HDR, etc. Just adjust it in game...

I don't think I've equipped a skill mod yet. For a while I just deconstructed them but now I'm at the cap for printer filament. The real problem is that I haven't found any reason at all to do anything other than healing launcher / revive hive, and no real use for mods other than maybe +ammo on the launcher, which would really only be useful if I wanted to put on insane healing to be able to facetank a hammer bro for giggles.

Definitely good gear is better than high gear scores. Obviously good gear with high gear scores is nice, though. Apparently the GS is mostly just going to affect things like the armor values, while the talents and attribute rolls are mostly GS independent. And the way it works, some of the purples will have higher rolls on attributes because there's a "budget" for rolled skills/talents and because there are fewer rolls on a purple, it can have a higher max. I'm still not ready for actual recalibration to start maxing out GS.

Dailies are live again.

That appears to be exactly what GS does. The attribute roll difference is negligable at best, they sometimes roll lower than WT4 gear. Once I realized this I stopped GS raising and started building.

Mods are screwed, not just skill but gear mods. I had far better green/blue gear mods than any of the high ends ones.

only way to get them is by making a new character.

And I read at some point some people would have another character but never upgrade the crafting bench so they could still craft blues (I think they started at blue and not green). I don't know if that would still work, though, and I'm not sure I'll put the time in to pull that off approximately ever.

I wont make a new character, is only a matter of time before high ends get buffed or low end gets nerfed. Then it would be a wasted 15 hours or so.
