Official Thread VR Headset

ok just set mine up and first impressions are very good. unboxing was nice, very high quality feel to it, kinda like what apple does with its products.
very easy to set up and within 5 mins all ready to go. like the slide off magnetic battery covers as well. all in all very cool piece of kit.

gonna prob play Vader first and heard its only about 1 hour for the 1st episode but i dont mind that if its a cool VR experience.

when i was setting it up, it puts you in a nice VR enviroment and has a cool tutorial where you pick stuff up, throw things, shoot stuff etc, very very nice feel to it.

Visually looks very sharp and clear and the headset is dope.

Picked mine up at best buy during lunch. Got it setup and updated but I need to finish my work day. There's a rec room meetup for quest users tonight if anyone is interested.

Set mine up. Downloaded a few things. Played 1st 20 mins of the Vader Experience and its absolutely awesome. Worth the price alone....that 1st meeting with Vader was awesome.

The set up was painless.....in fact the tutorial is brilliant.

This is going to sell in its millions

Dude when Vader walks up to you its amazing!!! Finished the Vader experience and it was awesome! very short but like I said above I don't mind if the overall experience was good and this was epic!
mapped out a nice sized room so could walk around the space ship and up to the edges of things, having no wires is incredible!
I also agree the tutorial is fantastic.

I'm sore this morning. Lol Played lots of rec room paintball and racket fury last night. Quest is fantastic, I hope it really catches on so all the games are populated with people we get some AAA titles in the future.

3 VR headsets launched this month and all of them sold out.

When before that had never happened, not even a single headset had sold out.

The landscape is changing.

Only thing with this is that there is very little 'free' content on here outside of Rec Room and VR Chat. We have a Bank Holiday this weekend so going to really put it through its paces with side loading apps and films etc.

Try big screen beta too when you get a chance. Also, skybox VR is a really good media app. You can start the app on your PC, and it'll act as a media server for your quest. That way you can watch all your videos without taking up storage if you're on wifi.

If we don't get any VR announcement from MS at E3 I might just buy a quest but might wait till my next phone upgrade

Superhot VR is bloody awesome on the quest. Anyone is raving about Beat Saber but is it that good? I don’t get it from the videos, kinda like guitar hero in VR?

Its alot better than it looks, yeah kinda like a more interactive Guitar Hero.
