So I haven't been really paying all that much attention to E3 (and games in general really), what games are looking like the must haves this year?

For the rest of 2019, the games that interest me:

  • Gears 5
  • Call of Duty
  • Borderlands 3
  • Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
  • The Outer Worlds

Seems like a similar list to mine. Big Obsidian fan, I think The Outer Worlds is probably my most anticipated game and I know literally nothing about it :)

To be fair, I'm guessing having the rights to an Avengers game doesn't necessarily get you the rights to the actual actors looks.

Nah it wouldn't, plus this is going to be a game that keeps getting additional content so if they have to keep recording more lines so aside from the cost I'm sure the scheduling would be a nightmare. That being said I'm so sick of Troy Bakers face lol, he just looks like such a douche :)

Oh fawk they announced a BoTW sequel.... I wasn’t expecting one until a new switch lol

Well, that's pretty big. I'm assuming it's still a few years away.

I love Remedy, but it'll be late 2020/early 2021 if past history is any indication...

That's right. I forgot Remedy's reputation for taking forever.

Nintendo is polling really well, at GAF at least, getting mostly A's. Not too surprising, though, since the people lining up to watch Nintendo conferences tend to be Nintendo fans. Still, sounds like it was a crowd-pleaser.

August 27th

Well, that's a wrap folks.

Seems like Nintendo and Squeenix did the best. Good conference for people who love Japanese games. Me, I feel like I had a bowl of soggy ramen and I'm still hungry.

Nintendo can announce one game coming in three years and win a conference because #Nintendo.

Of course, as long as they continue delivering, they'll keep getting that respect.

What newly revealed game (that actually showed gameplay) caught any of your attention the most? To me it was Watch Dogs Legion, loved that they took it to London, love the colors, the concept of being able to recruit and play as any NPC sounds good, still not a huge fan of permadeath in games but I'll get over that. I really enjoyed Watch Dogs 2 and this seems like it'll be even better.

Floor looks so empty

I don't remember if it's only open to the public on specific days or what but yeah that looks a lot less crowded than back when I went and it was only open to people in the industry. I know it was pretty hot here again yesterday and today so I wouldn't have wanted to go downtown and deal with all of that traffic and having to probably park a couple of blocks away. I could get there without traffic in 20 minutes, with traffic over an hour lol.

None, unfortunately.

To be honest, not sure I could name 5 games and/or content drops that I want to play...lets try....

- Outer Worlds
- BF5 Pacific content

? Think that is it.

Yeah as far as new announcements there weren't a whole lot for me either, there are things I'm really looking forward to that were already announced but this E3 was pretty light on new games that interested me as well other than Watch Dogs. There were a few that sound promising but since they didn't show any gameplay I can't really say I'm excited about them or even looking forward to them all that much because CGI doesn't tell us what to expect when we actually play it.

The only semi-interesting thing for me was the new PVE Rainbow Six Siege coming out, but that's not until at least 2020.

I'm looking at the rest of the calendar year and I'm not sure there's one game I will preorder. I'm sure I'll buy something, but honestly I'm not sure what.

Welcome to the last year before next gen. Yawn.

Not sure that is a valid excuse. Both next gen consoles will be BC.

It isn't really, but you know anything not coming out by early 2020 will get pushed to next gen, even if it isn't really "next gen". Even if it isn't relevant, that's how gamers think.

This whole next gen is going to be weird that way.
