Folks, I gotta say it, this Constitution thing, it's all a big hoax. The people who wrote it, you know, weren't even born as American citizens, it's true, and they committed treason and it's all a big witch hunt.

Since there was no Constitution when they wrote it, writing the Constitution was un-Constitutional.

Did they say how they determined who debates what day?

Very interested in both of these debates. Curious how Warren plays on a national audience, and to see how Biden and Sanders do against each other.

I've said it before but she's the least transparent person to ever hold the job, Superman couldn't see through all of her BS.

I'm glad Yang made it in on the second night, that's likely to be the one that gets the most viewers.

I hope during the debates that all of the candidates talk about how important it's going to be to not only take the White House but also take the Senate, they need to run against McConnell as much as Trump, without the Senate nothing will get done no matter who defeats Trump.

The Senate is still going to be really tough to take based on what seats are up. Especially having to defend one in Alabama.

What the Democrats need to do is that once primaries are done and the general elections start, they need a consistent message.

Fight hard in the primary, but once that is done, everyone unite behind whoever wins.

Oh for sure, that's why I think we need to talk highlight how important it is. I'd love it if McConnell lost his seat but Kentucky won't vote him out so we need to really spread the message that the things Dems want to get done won't happen with Republicans running the senate. I think Andrew Yang is a long shot but his UBI message will probably pick up some steam once he gets national exposure, he would be a good one to talk about how we need to get control of the senate to get it done, they can all talk about healthcare and while the environment is important they can't focus on it because too many idiots in this country don't take the subject seriously.

I think Andrew Yang points out the problem with job losses relating to automation and not quite as much cheap immigrant labor taking er jerbs. That part of his message might get the most attention and have an overall effect on the debates.

I don't know about his longshot chances to get the Primary, but it would be interesting if he was selected for the next administration's cabinet.

Yeah I'm not counting on him winning either but I'm glad he's at least trying to get that conversation started, thankfully he'll be on the second debate with Biden and Sanders so he'll get a lot of viewers to make his pitch to.

It was based on polling and fundraising in terms of getting into the debates. The lineups were chosen by random draw.

Yeah and from what I heard reps from the candidates were there for the draw so nobody can complain about which night they were given.

The best chance to unite probably would have been if if Biden and Bernie didn't run. You know Bernie supporters are going to be pissed if its Biden especially and Bernie isn't going to walk away when its appropriate.

And obviously a lot candidates will drop out quick but still there will be enough that a contested convention would be a realistic possibility. That would be ugly.

So I got stuck watching about 2 hours of Faux News over the Father's Day weekend and one thing totally stood out to me. I fully expected the bias, but what I didn't expect was their Trump coverage.

Fox covers Trump... by not covering him. At least in the 2 hours I watched they showed zero video with Trump. They show a quick picture up close (not showing his fat body) and that's it. You never hear him speak. What they do show is how the rest of the world covers Trump. They just show how everyone else "attacks" him, but of course there's zero context because they didn't see what Trump said/did to start it.

For all Fox News watchers know, Trump is off somewhere in an office working. They don't see the fat prick going off on the media and everything else. All they see is an "unhinged left" constantly attacking because there's zero context.

Yes, that is exactly what it is. I watch it, because I want to as a voter, but not at great lengths. When something major happens politically, I usually tune in there first to hear their talking heads reaction.

Paul J. Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman who is serving a federal prison sentence, had been expected to be transferred to the notorious Rikers Island jail complex this month to await trial on a separate state case.

But last week, Manhattan prosecutors were surprised to receive a letter from the second-highest law enforcement official in the country inquiring about Mr. Manafort’s case. The letter, from Jeffrey A. Rosen, Attorney General William P. Barr’s new top deputy, indicated that he was monitoring where Mr. Manafort would be held in New York.

And then, on Monday, federal prison officials weighed in, telling the Manhattan district attorney’s office that Mr. Manafort, 70, would not be going to Rikers.
Instead, he will await his trial at a federal lockup in Manhattan or at the Pennsylvania federal prison where he is serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence for wide-ranging financial schemes, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

A senior Justice Department official said that the department believed Mr. Manafort’s treatment was appropriate, but several former and current prosecutors said the decision was highly unusual. Most federal inmates facing state charges are held on Rikers Island.

I unfortunately work as a truck driver and try to avoid pro Trump trucker rednecks.

Do those people really believe the crap Trump comes out with? Surely he won't get a 2nd term?

The Democrats have a tough fight on their hands. There's two groups of people who love him and vote:

-The idiots who have no information out of Fox News' little bubble.
-The smarter deplorables who know he's lying but simply don't care and support him anyway.

There was 20,000 of them in Orlando last night watching a campaign rally more than 12 months before an election.

Now, if the Democrats can find a candidate to energize the base and get a great turnout, I think they can win with Obama type numbers, but they need to find the candidate.

I have less faith in Biden just because there's already videos of him on the campaign trail looking old and tired. Charisma shouldn't matter, but it does. Hillary had no charisma and she lost.

This election is very much in doubt. Biden is in the middle, which is good for the centrists and the few remaining GOPers with common sense, but he may not energize anyone. Someone more left will excite the base, but maybe scare off some centrists.

The most alarming thing from 2016 was that voter turnout didn't increase at all. When you run into someone random on the street, do you ever wonder if they voted Trump or Hillary? Chances are they actually didn't vote at all.
