Halo: Infinite - Master Chief (model)
I worked on the Master Chief model that was featured in the E3 2019 Halo Infinite trailer “Discover Hope”.
I was responsible for:

- Concepting Master Chief in collaboration with, and under the direction of Nicolas ‘Sparth’ Bouvier

- Modeling (hipoly, lowpoly, bakes) Master Chief’s techsuit, armo

Ninja to be the face of Infinite?

While Blevins (Ninja) didn’t say much about why he’s moving on to Mixer, what little he did say paints a particular picture.

“I feel like this is a really good chance to get back in touch with my roots, and really remember why I fell in love with streaming in the first place,” he said in his announcement video. While most people may know Blevins from his Fortnite days, his history goes back further than that. Blevins actually used to be a Halo pro back in the day — his handle is a reference to a move in the series — and he met his wife through Halo. You could say Blevins owes his entire career to Halo. He wouldn’t have started livestreaming as a full-time job without it.

...

The question is, can Blevins deliver? Can he bring more people to Mixer? Can he sell Xbox consoles and copies of Halo Infinite? Hardcore fans are sure to follow, but a decrease in viewership seems inevitable — some people won’t make the jump. Twitch isn’t just some site people load to watch someone; it’s a community. Mixer is an up-and-comer with some cool features, but it can’t tell you to come over because all your friends and favorite entertainers are there. It’s a hard sell. No wonder Microsoft is using the exclusivity route.

Roles and responsibilities of various team members regularly evolve to meet the needs of a game, throughout development. We have recently had two changes to the Halo Infinite development team. Our Executive Producer, Mary Olson will now take charge of the Campaign team on Halo Infinite as the Lead Producer, utilizing her many years of experience at 343 to help craft a great campaign for fans.

Additionally, Tim Longo has recently departed our team and we are truly thankful for his many contributions to our games, our studio and the Halo universe. We wish Tim nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

The overall creative vision and production of the game remains led by Chris Lee, Studio Head of Halo Infinite.

We have a world-class team building Halo Infinite and the overwhelming positive response by fans has us energized, more than ever, to create the best Halo game to date, alongside Project Scarlett in holiday 2020. These changes have no impact to the release date for Halo Infinite.

Campaign was mostly done by now I assume.

If he was the one who was in charge of Halo 5's campaign the studio will be better for him leaving, it was the worst campaign in the series by far. I would think unless the campaign is being redone though that it's still going to be the thing he created or had massive input on, the woman replacing him was in charge of audio from what I've read and that's not really a comparable area of responsibility. I believe that line about "Chris Lee" is mostly just for PR, they are trying to soften the blow of someone that high up on the project leaving long before it's completed. Every studio head is technically in charge of the creative vision because they have approval over everything but they aren't the one coming up with all of the ideas

Halo 3 ODST and Reach are tied for first for the worst campaign.

Imo, H4 has the worst campaign (still fine) of all halos.
People leaving companies isn't that strange, maybe game will be better because of it, maybe not. It's just one man, he most certainly isn't a god (ie kojima).

Halo campaigns are like pizza. Some are better than others, but they are always good.

Nah, the first few were good but they've been going downhill, 343 hasn't done a good job with the campaigns at all. It's all subjective though, just because I don't like 5 doesn't mean someone else can't enjoy it.

It’s a good take. My biggest question is why Chris Lee took this long. Longo was not the right fit for Halo. There’s reason to be optimistic about the new 343 leads but 1 year puts their backs up against the wall.

While my opinion might be in the minority, it is what it is. I enjoyed Halo 1-3. ODST I had to turn the game off almost half way through. It’s the only Halo I couldn’t finish. Reach was also lackluster but at least I could finish it. 4 redeemed itself. Halo 5 I enjoyed and am almost done with my second playthrough.

Maybe because I am not invested in the “story” as much as I am the actual gameplay. IMO I guess.

Reach is a top Runner for Favorite for me.

I loved the STORY in 4 (it was bringing in extended lore, and the great hook with Cortana going rampant), but felt they could have done better from a level design standpoint. Still 4 is fantastic, imo.

5 was mostly a miss (Campaign-wise. The MP is Faboo) though there are a few bright spots. I didn't like how they handled the story for the most part. So many missed opportunites with Jul 'Mdama alone.

ODST Gets really good by the end, but I really didn't like the way they made the ODSTs play like a slightly weaker Chief. They could have pushed that further.

Halo 2 might is right up there, and I'm just ok on Halo 3.

CE is a classic.

When Halo CE came out, I was 99% all about multiplayer (LAN) in that game. As each Halo released, that percentage was changing. By the time we hit Halo 5, I was 99% all about the campaign and didn't have any interest in multiplayer.

I was a big fan of Halo MP when CE and 2 came out. I started to loose interest after 3. I tried 5’s MP recently and while it can be fun in small doses I just find how much it takes to take someone down and the jumping around in firefights annoying. That big battle game mode is pretty cool though.

I’ll give this new Halo a shot at release since Game Pass, not sure how long I’ll stick with it.

Did anyone watch the last community stream, they hosted 343’s Technical Art, Director and when he mentioned ray tracing he did state that they will support it on Scarlett...I forget his exact words and the time stamp 😣

The game is out in a year. They should start dripping out some bits for us.
