Andrew Yang qualified for the debates. For real this time. Now at 9 qualified.

Tom Steyer (who?) might be getting to close to qualifying as well. :meh:

Family member posted this on her timeline yesterday. She's an awesome democrat to want all of those things. She's fighting for all of that with her votes in every election. You know I'm lying. She's a staunch trump supporter. She has never voted for a democrat. She is voting for trump no matter what.

Too many people vote by party line no matter the situation.

Kamala Harris is dropping in most polls taken after the second debate, maybe she needs to pull back on the "Joe Biden is a racist" stuff, in one poll her support among African Americans is only 1%.

https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=3637

In today's results:
  • Biden gets 47 percent of black Democrats, with 16 percent for Sanders, 8 percent for Warren and 1 percent for Harris;
  • Women Democrats go 31 percent for Biden, 24 percent for Warren, 10 percent for Sanders and 7 percent for Harris;
  • Very liberal Democrats go 40 percent for Warren, 20 percent for Sanders, 19 percent for Biden and 7 percent for Harris;
  • Somewhat liberal Democrats go 28 percent for Biden, 20 percent for Warren, 14 percent for Sanders and 10 percent for Harris;
  • Moderate/conservative Democrats go 43 percent for Biden, 11 percent for Warren, 9 percent for Sanders, and 4 percent each for Harris and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Its not the Biden stuff because she got a bump after the first debate. Its being attacked on her record and not being able to defend it. Black people in particular are the ones she would need to explain it to.

It's both, she wasn't that popular among black voters beforehand and this just made it worse. She needs to worry about rehabbing her own image before she goes back to attacking Biden, she's not as "top tier" as she seems to think she is and she's shown more vulnerability to attack than any of the candidates that have polled over 10% at any point so far.

Bernie is going to be in the area on Aug 19 at the Field of Dreams to play a softball game between his campaign and the media. Might see if I can attend.

Both parents were killed in El Paso shooting. They knew his parents were killed. The baby was discharged. His new parents refused to be in photos. trump had the baby brought back to the hospital to take this photo.

"Little Paul, himself, it was later revealed, had been brought back to the hospital - reportedly at the request of White House staff - having been discharged days earlier."

Tommy Lee 2020?

It's weird not really following celebrities much and then finding out their politics. Like there's a good chance of knowing which side they fall on but for a few when you find out it's more of hmm good to know than anything. He definitely seems passionate.

It is time to admit that Biden isn't the right candidate. These gaffes are going to risk getting Trump elected. Biden feels a lot less "safe" than some of the other candidates to me.

I still think he gets the job done if he gets the nomination.

As much as people complained about not enough people running in 2016 the reality is the favorite is going to benefit in such a large field. The longer the field stays like this the longer Biden gets a free pass.

And yeah Biden probably has the best chance to beat Trump but he should probably have to actually earn the nomination

I hope so, I mean obviously I'll vote for any carbon based life form not named Trump, but he worries me.

You know how it will go though. Trump says something stupid each and every day, but Biden does it a couple of times and that's all anyone will talk about.

Plus I worry that he picks a running mate like Harris or Warren and it looks like pandering. (even though they totally deserve it and maybe even to run).
