I like how they said they would be open to MP games going to PC and people are running with it and acting like they are going to start making games for Xbox and Nintendo. Not the one Rollins posted so much but Layden never says "and other devices" yet that's added in a lot of the coverage.

What about mobile/tablets or stadia?

What about mobile/tablets or stadia?

You can already play playstation games on your phone or tablet, they aren't made for it but you can stream them to it even when you aren't at home. I don't get why anyone would want to play a console game on a phone or tablet but if they do they already have that option without anyone having to build the game for those devices. I have a feeling they wouldn't do it for stadia because they likely seem like competition in the console space to a degree where PC is kind of it's own thing in a way.

Well PlayStation exclusives(at least recently) aren't good online games.

What "exclusives" are you playing on XBL? In fact what exclusives are you playing in general for Xbox.

Playstation

1. MLB'19 - 86
2. Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringer - 91

Xbox

1. Gears of War 5 - 86

.....

.

Yeah Gears 5 rapes those 2 games.

No. The games I listed offer quality conent in thier respective genre. You said Playstion has no good mp wich is false. Of course Gears is a shooter it will get more attention but in reality no big difference.

You still didn't answer my question...

Wtf?
I am playing Gears 5.

Well, my decision to #walk away from gaming didn't last long. I discovered that I need some form of escapist entertainment. Most of my life is pretty much "on purpose," even if it's not necessarily serious. The issue there is, I need something to provide entertainment and distraction -- an "escape" from real life, so to speak (don't misunderstand, I'm enjoying my life quite a bit, but everyone needs a break from reality now and then).

I don't do many of the things "normal" people do, to escape/entertain/distract -- I don't watch TV; I don't have cable; I don't subscribe to Netflix or Hulu or any of that; I don't watch movies; I don't use much social media; I don't read fiction. Apart from Youtube and music, I don't have anything that just provides an entertaining distraction. I found that I needed that, and gaming is a good way to get it.

So I re-bought a PS4. In addition to what I just mentioned, I specifically wanted to play The Outer Worlds, which is coming out next week. It's the kind of game I enjoy, and we haven't seen anything like it for a while. I also knew there would be other games that I'd want to play eventually (e.g., Death Stranding or TLoU2), so I knew I wouldn't be able to hold out until next gen.

I changed my gamertag and wiped my old FL. No offense to anyone, of course, but I wanted a fresh start, and I'd never played with anyone on my FL anyhow. I'm not an MP gamer, and my PS4 isn't even online 99% of the time. You're welcome to add me back, if you like. New tag is Humdinger58.

I spend most of my time at GAF lately -- more people, wider range of opinions, more attention to games that interest me, less Xbox bias, less Orange Man Bad, fewer enemies (ha), etc. But I'll drop in here occasionally, just because.

Anyhow, I figured I'd let you guys know what's up.

Welcome to the forum new guy.
I thought about posting in the "New PS4 Owners" thread, but I didn't see it. Then I remembered I unstickied it a long time ago. It must've dropped into oblivion.

Did you get a Pro?

Did you get a Pro?

Yeah. Figured I'd be playing Death Stranding, TLoU, or something else that would benefit. I guess even Outer Worlds is getting some enhancements, which is good, because initially they said it wasn't.

I probably lost $150 or so in the bargain, but oh well. Easy come, easy go. :)

It was worth it. I took 3 months off. I feel like I've got a fresh start and new orientation toward gaming and forums. My intention is to use game forums only for discussion of games that I'm looking forward to or playing at the moment, and not to get into other discussions, which generally just turn out to be a waste of time and energy. We'll see how that goes, lol. Best laid plans and all that...

I've been trying to bang out a lot of these exclusives lately. Starting with TLOU remastered, and Days Gone. Then GoW and Uncharted Lost Legacy next. Horizon will be last. Playing on PS4 Pro.

God of War is awesome. I think you will like it a lot.

I played it a bit but never fully dove into it. I am just going to restart from the beginning when i get around to playing it seriously.

I've gained such a backlog of games, a lot of the times I will buy these at launch, play for an hour and just get sidetracked by life. So when I finally have time to revisit them (which some times is a year or years later) I forget wtf is going on so it's better to just restart from the beginning. Literally took me like 2 and 1/2 years to complete UC4 which I absolutely loved. Although when I really got time to beat it, it took me a few days.
