Rumble is an awful feature. I've turned off rumble since it's introduction in Sony and MS consoles.
I can't play without it, especially in racing games. As soon as the battery on the controllers get low, it disables the rumble to save battery. I immediately replace the batteries so I don't have to play without any rumble.

So I'm still confused as to why anyone would be pissed

It should be good news to be honest, we're going to see a lot of those features start to become more standardized as opposed to 'only in certain xbox games'. Rumble triggers should be in every racing game, I love that feeling to be honest.

Any why the hell is The Master Chief Collection the only game with properly segmented download options? If they can do it, not sure others can't or haven't.

Yeah, I mean I've seen games on both consoles that allow you to decide if you want SP or MP to download first but why make you download all of it if you don't want it? I'd love to not have to download MP sections for games since I don't usually play them, if I decide to try it out I can always download it later but if it has nothing to do with the single player than it just seems silly to force us to use up storage space and bandwidth to download something we aren't interested in.

Maybe it's just me, but isn't anyone else annoyed by the cover art on our game pins on the dashboard changing?

Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg Says Next Gen Will See “Huge” Upgrade In CPU

Next gen is coming at us fast. It’s only roughly a year now before we’re expecting them to hit the market and, as always, there’s a lot of talk about new features and specs. Today we turn our attention to the CPU with a lot of promise that we’re going to see a big upgrade.

In the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine (the November issue), Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg talked about next gen. He promised a huge upgrade for the CPU, saying they want to not just focus on graphics improving, but also on the framerate.

“But, with the next-gen, I think you’ll see a big upgrade in CPU, because we really want to make sure that you don’t have any compromises with the framerates. Yes, we can do 4K, but we can also do 120 frames per second. So I think that type of capability will be something that people don’t see today.”

Screw 120. Give us uncompromised 60.

Sounds like he got some legit info for both consoles.

CPUs will basically be the same, but after that there are some differences...

I hope people realize if you want 4K HDR and 120fps you need a new tv, you'll need HDMI 2.1 to be able to experience that fully and very few new sets even have that option yet.

8K 240 or gtfo with that third world s***. Oh, and braindead A.I. because nobody plays games for the game part.

120 FPS and 8K are just red herring marketing BS and folks aren't going to be able to afford sets that do this en masse for another 5 or so years. Even then, the noticeable benefits probably aren't enough to waste resources on it. Frankly, devs are better off targeting 4K/60...the games just look so much smoother and even then, I'd rather have a checkerboard trade-off to get 60fps with Ray Tracing, and other next gen grfx features instead of native 4K. IMO, framerate > resolution at this point. I'm sure we'll see a fair share of 30fps games as well....due to developers that just don't optimize well (as with every gen). Either way, as always, looking forward to next gen quite a bit. Really looking forward to the reduced load times and ray tracing. Damn, still a year away.

We will def see better framerates next gen just due to the gigantic upgrade in CPU horsepower.

120fps would be good for VR, but if MS teams with Oculus, the Quest only has a 75hz screen (which is just fine, BTW).
