That would be nuts if it had 2080 performance. Though lagging 2 years behind PC spec seems to fit the cycle. Ignore anything about 8k. Approximately Zero Devs will bother with it. Absolute waste of resources. I guess we may get some 2d shooter at 8k or something just for the bullet point. Finally some tasty rumors....sadly I don’t know much about computer power. Are either of the comparisons good (if this is even true)..?

The ps5 version currently under test is comparable to Nvidia's RTX2080, and Microsoft's Xbox Scarlet is said to have a higher performance of 2080TI.
However, due to thermal and mechanical design issues, there is a possibility that Xbox will sell the clock under test at slightly higher performance than the current 2080 performance.
Everything is for 8K resolution play.
Haven't played the game, but I'm also one of the chosen ones that's blessed with obliviousness in regards to framerates. Honestly, playing gears 5 at 60fps vs gears 4 at 30fps (campaign) and I'm honestly not feeling this huge difference that everyone seems to praise. No it doesn't, or at least it's importance is hyperbole. In my whole play-through of the campaign, I didn't think once about the frame-rrate. Even if it's not locked at 60, I'm super glad I'm not cursed with this over-sensitivity to frame-rate. Game is fun and beautiful. Don't listen to that garbage.
And I'm not even a big fan of CoD. This one was really good though.
I can definitely tell the difference between 30 and 60fps, and defintely prefer 60fps in fast paced games (though 30 is perfectly fine if the pacing is built around it). Hell, I even prefer to play the 30fps mode in the Witcher 3 and Forza Horizon 4 because the impact on the visuals in 60fps mode has a greater effect on my enjoyment than the framerate does.Haven't played the game, but I'm also one of the chosen ones that's blessed with obliviousness in regards to framerates. Think the controller from my new 1X is toast. Just randomly loses connection, usually right away. During initial setup I had to turn it off and on several times just to get through the setup. After that it seemed to be fine then cut out while playing COD. Used my previous controller and it's fine, which I guess is good that it's the controller and not the Xbox. Not sure if I can do anything on getting the controller replaced. Maybe directly through Xbox? I feel like I had an issue with a small part before and Best Buy wanted the entire thing back. Yea I'm not packing everything up again just for a controller.
My One X controller broke awhile back. They feel cheaply made compared to my other controllers.
The plastic casing feels thinner on the newer ones compared to the original IMO.The gen 2 Xbox One controllers (ones with bluetooth) are absolutely more cheaply made than the launch ones.

I haven't ever had any problems with my Xbox One (including Elite), Xbox 360, DS3 controllers, ever. I have had 2 DS4 controllers. First one with the release DS4, no problems at all, but traded the system in for my PS Pro. My DS4 that came with my PS Pro, the left stick, pushing up, stopped working for some reason and ended up buying a C40 TR controller to replace it. But it was totally fine, no issues other than up on the stick stopped working. Not only that but I have had more than one gen 2 controllers have issues right out of the box. The build quality AND the QA process both seem to be much worse.
Dood....not cool.....I bet there will be some black friday deals for $299? Still $300. But you have all those games!!!!!!I'll be Xbox-less until next gen.
My young nephew pulled my X off the tv stand onto a hardwood floor. Essentially it's f***ed.
No way am I spending $500 on a new X when there's a new one coming next year.
I think it's the reliance on the internet, not the actual OS.I mean I am just waiting for them to make the dashboard more responsive. There are times when it so god damn sluggish even on One X. I wonder if swapping the internal drive for an SSD will help.

The One X is definitely faster on the dashboard than my old OG was but yea it still has issues. At this point with the news that the next consoles will have SSD there is no reason they shouldn't have NVMe at minimum.I mean I am just waiting for them to make the dashboard more responsive.
