I went like 10 years of only drinking maybe 2-3 sodas a year, mostly at holiday party or something. Recently I've started drinking it again, although I did stop drinking Red Bull and other energy drinks. I've just stuck with diet but I've heard it's worse for you than regular? idk I'll take the lower calorie intake vs worrying about another weird chemical that is just included with all the other weird chemicals in food.

I've "heard" the same things, but I've never seen anything concrete on it. I am a borderline caffeine addict and I don't like coffee so I am pretty much on diet cola much of the day.

The best I can figure is diet cola isn't perfect, but probably better than having tons of sugar and calories. I'd love to cut back, but there's no way I can still have energy at the end of the day without it.

I actually really like the Sodastream stuff for home. If you drink a ton of it, you can just make your own at home easily. Saves on having to return bottles/cans all the time. The only pain is you have to refill the canisters that make the fizz. Gotta go to Bed Bath and Beyond or mail them in which is slightly annoying.

(I don't have any stake in them, just drink a ton of soft drinks) :)

I'm back on the road finishing up. I started taking sparkling mineral waters or spring water with me like San Pellegrino. I like the taste of the mineral content and I rarely ever have soda now.

Once in a while, I'll grab a STOK Cold Brew coffee and those have a little sugar.

I've heard of it but never tried it. Seems like it might be worth it. I saw the return deal for the canister online which seems like the best option at only $15 per? Might end up grabbing the electric one since they're on sale right now.

I don't know the exact numbers, but it is easily cheaper than buying name brand soda in the stores. I think the canisters are like 15-20 depending. Start with one but if you like it, buy a bunch of them then you can swap them out. They are the only hassle really. A bunch of places like Walmart and Target used to do them in store but most of them stopped, so you either have to hit Bed Bath and Beyond or do the mail thing. I've done the mail thing a few times and it is easy enough, but you have to run to a UPS store.

The nice thing about the regular drinks are they are like 35 calories instead of a regular can which can easily be a couple of hundred. So the regular is a lot better if you want to switch from diet, although they have diet options as well. They don't taste exactly like the name brands, but they are pretty good overall.

Making it is really easy. Only takes a few minutes. The only pain is the canisters. Of course I go through a lot of it, so for normal people it probably works better.

So how many "soda streams' or w/e do you get per canister?

Also, for those looking to switch, seltzer waters from Lidl are $2.50 for a 12 pack and they are zero cal zero sugar zero sodium. They're the bees knees

It really depends. You can adjust how much "fizz" you put in, so it kind of varies. We drink a ton of it and only have to replace a canister every couple weeks.

Overall it is way less hassle than taking empty bottles back for deposit. No more dealing with that every week.

I know that even if you get stuff on sale for $1 per 2 liter the Sodastream is still cheaper overall. You can buy a little bottle of syrup, but it lasts for a long time. You just pour about a shot glass full into a liter of water and that's it.

Not having to take a garbage bag full of cans/bottles back to the store is a big win too.

lol IA is a bottle deposit as well but I just recycle them instead of dealing with the hassle. Although the place I take my glass does it as well but I just drop that off. Ain't got no time to be sitting around waiting for them to count s*** up.

IDK, but she's hot, and the social media outrage over this commercial is outrageous. Newsflash America, affluent women are the target demo, considering they're super expensive and it's basically a spins class at home.

If you're gonna be mad about something, just be mad that the commercial sucks

Link to this commercial?

Lol
2019, the year men can't even help their partner get into shape without getting flamed.
Can't even count the times I've seen women acting like nazis forcing their men eat nothing but salads lol
Still, would've been more appropriate if they took a fat woman instead. Also, she should get her man a gym card, he looks meak.

Yes, usually they're non sticky editions which mean they just glide straight down without hardly leaving any tracks. I've not yet researched the food intake needed for this to happen

I didn't even know people were upset by the commercial. I figured everyone was just making fun of it.

Actually saw a naked person kneeling on the pavement by the side of the highway just before getting on I-40 from Raleigh to Durham, NC. They were next to a car that was off the road and a truck that looked like it hit a pole.

This is to weird at 8am on a Monday.
Was he/she hot?
