i appreciate the response Val, what’s the reasoning behind your choice? near all comparisons between the TCL and Hisense went the way of the latter.
Both the TCL 6 series and the Hisense H9F are excellent TV's. The 2019 TCL 6 Series is getting a firmware update to use some HDMI 2.1 features.

I’m in no rush, and from what I’ve been reading about micro-LED, I‘m thinking I’ll wait for that tech to come down in price. Plus I don’t want to be a first-gen user. Thoughts? How long do you think?

That’s from April of last year, but it sounds promising. Nothing about this was shown at CES?

I still can't believe this model doesn't come with HDMI 2.1, I don't know what they are thinking not making 2.1 universal in all of their TV's, they have a console coming this year that supports it for crying out loud.

When is your new set coming in? Looking forward to impressions.

I'm holding off until later in the year before buying a new one, honesty I don't need one I just want one because of the PS5 and the HDMI 2.1 features, yeah I'm bad with money LOL.

ValueElectronics.com Inc. Early May launch for Sony's new 2020 X900H 4K HDR TV w/HDMI 2.1 and ATSC 3.0 tuner built-in

75X900H: $2,199

65X900H: $1,399

55X900H: $999

It's best to check out our dedicated X900H webpage to see all of the technical specs and our .pdf spec sheet. Here's the link https://www.valueelectronics.com/Sony_85X900H_65X900H.

That's my next TV right there. Have had a Sony HX850 for 8 years, still looks great. But it's finally time to go 4k I think and I'm going to hone in on this TV in particular.

I wonder if I'll need a new receiver though. Mine has "4k passthrough" but I don't know if there's other stuff it can't pass.

Dunno if your current AVR does HDR/60hz pass through?
If so you should be good for 60hz gaming.
Next gen is offering HDMI 2.1 with up to 4K/120hz/HDR so if you want that you will need a new AVR.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look at what's available when the next Xbox comes out then. I usually go Yamaha and base model is fine for me (this is for my bedroom so don't need a beefy AVR)

That's my receiver specs there.

Claims 4k ultra pass through but other than that I wouldn't know. It's fairly old now.

Doesn't look like that AVR supports 4K/60/HDR

That's fine, I suspected it wouldn't support everything, but it would pass 4k at the least though?

I know I'll need a new one, but probably best to wait for next years models so hoping I could get by with it until 2021 models come out with (you'd think) all the latest specs and HDMI 2.1

Thanks again for the heads up.
