Looks like more and more is coming out. Not only was there still loading during the tech demo, the second half was scripted.

If there was still loading... imagine how bad it will be on slower SSD devices!Looks like more and more is coming out. Not only was there still loading during the tech demo, the second half was scripted.
RIP to PC! Hello to PS5 and XSX! LOVE YOU BOTH!If there was still loading... imagine how bad it will be on slower SSD devices!
Yes, I'm sure it will be very bad....If there was still loading... imagine how bad it will be on slower SSD devices!
According to Epic there was no loading. If there was still loading... imagine how bad it will be on slower SSD devices!
Weird. On resetera, some peeps were saying that going between the rocks was the loading section.According to Epic there was no loading.
Yup. Instead of a 1.5 second load, it will be 3 seconds. If there was still loading... imagine how bad it will be on slower SSD devices!

Not sure if people ripping on 30fps have played consoles before? It's the standard for 3d games since the ps1. I'm not saying devs shouldn't aim for higher but imo (as been said before by many) it's definitely acceptable if they can tune up graphics higher.
Also, not being a PC gamer but I thought it was common knowledge that 30fps feels smoother on console than PC? There seems to be several reasons for this but I don't have time for the Google.
Epic said there was no loading and it was done to push the view closer to show off environment.Weird. On resetera, some peeps were saying that going between the rocks was the loading section.
Friends.... I've been doing a lot this month to get points for my Microsoft rewards account... thought about redeeming a few dollars in gift cards to buy some games on sale.
Problem: when redeeming, they ask about a US phone number that they'll send a confirmation code to... living in Sweden makes that hard. Reason I don't use swedish rewards program is they don't reward for bing searches here.
Anyone willing to give me a phone number that I can send the code to (and give to me when received)?
PM me.
Also, didn't find the og xbox thread, sorry mods
Really? I'll look into this. You could probably make/get one using google voice
Apparently it doesn't work with VOip numbers...Really? I'll look into this.
While stuff like that can slow you down so the games has more time, it can also be used simply to provide variety in traversal or to give the sense of crawling through the cave. No way to know, really, but I doubt it was for loading.Weird. On resetera, some peeps were saying that going between the rocks was the loading section.
I wonder if hell Blade 2 is using U5. Rendering seems similar
Would be nice, but it sure sounds like UE 4.25 to me. Notice that Phil just says they are using "Unreal".Didn’t Phil confirm that in his tweet on this page?

Also, from Epic's official Unreal page:
Unreal Engine 4 & 5 timeline
Unreal Engine 4.25 already supports next-generation console platforms from Sony and Microsoft, and Epic is working closely with console manufacturers and dozens of game developers and publishers using Unreal Engine 4 to build next-gen games.
Unreal Engine 5 will be available in preview in early 2021, and in full release late in 2021, supporting next-generation consoles, current-generation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
