One of the guys on Neogaf who supposedly has connections said that a God of War announcement should come soon but he wasn't sure exactly when. Of course anyone with half a brain knows another one is coming it's just when that'll be that's the question, it's hard to believe it's already been over 2 years since we got the last one. Yeah too early for Days gone 2, the game just came out like 15 months ago, hopefully they'll do some PS5 enhancements for the original though or maybe some story DLC.

Why would Sony have two state of play shows in a 4 day period? either one of those lists is fake or they both are.

The X909H is surprisingly good.
Better than my Z9D in many ways

I want to hear how the sound system works for those sets where the speakers are behind the screen. I like the idea behind it I'm just curious as to how well it performs. I use a soundbar with a subwoofer now and I know this is kind of a universal issue but I hate how the voices are always so quiet and everything else comes out blasting, even when I change the settings it still gets too loud at night if I want to hear what's actually being said lol.

The sound is great when I watch Atmos stuff with the only downside being it not having the bass punch... you should be able to run both together but unfortantly it's on one of the HDMI 2.1 ports.(rumored 2 ports 3/4)

Too bad it's the mid-range sets and not the higher end ones, next year's sets should all have HDMI 2.1, there's really no excuse not to.

it’ll have the 2.1 update later on the x900

I have a Sammy ks8 with rear facing speakers and they do a surprisingly good job, sometimes bore feeling great thinking I left my two front surround speakers on...but I’d say placement is a huge variable too, with rear facing speakers. The soundstage is that big or clear when pushed

Sony only has 2 sets this year with HDMI 2.1, I think their entire line up should have it, they should have this year with the PS5 coming.

The ability to choose between high framerate mode and best graphics mode is becoming common with the PS5 console these days and Marvel’s Avengers has just added such. Crystal Dynamics’ motto is, after all, “look good, play good.” With the best graphics mode, the game will target 60fps with dynamic 4K resolution.

The PS5’s custom-SSD allowed the game to run really fast even before optimizing it for the next-gen console. After optimization, Crystal Dynamics is happy to announce that the loading scenes are nearly instant, which makes mission hopping seamless. Even hi-res texture loading is too fast.

Crystal Dynamics is also excited for the DualSense controller and its haptic feedback feature. It will take advantage of this in the game and with other features as well like the resistance triggers and 3D audio.

Marvel’s Avengers will also have cross-gen support, which will allow PS4 and PS5 players to play together. Crystal Dynamics will not force players to upgrade to next-gen console if they are not ready for it. They can still enjoy the game on PS4 if they want to.

If players want to upgrade to the PS5, they have the option to upgrade the game as well for free. They only need the digital of disc version of the game to make it happen.

So in graphics mode it's going to target 60fps? if so what's it going to target in performance mode? or will it be a locked 60 or is that just a misprint? generally speaking graphics mode gets you lower framerate with better graphics.

I'm thinking it's just the wording.

Maybe it'll still aim for 4k/60 but will reduce those as needed to keep up graphics effects? Dunno.

Yeah, dynamic res and targeting 60fps are both fairly non committal but I'm glad they are giving this game upgrades for next gen, I think graphically it looks very good but I've read nothing but bad things about how it was running on consoles last time it was made available to play. I guess we'll see with the beta if they've gotten the framerate up overall.

When will they learn?

We recently had the chance to do a brief Q&A with Creative Director Emeric Thoa, who expressed excitement to use the PlayStation 5's up to 120 frames per second frame rate and DualSense controller's haptics in order to make gliding in the game feel as good as possible.

so you upgrading?

so you upgrading?

I will eventually, but I think I can hold out a little while longer for something like that as framerate has never been a pressing issue with me. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure 120fps is a lot more noticeable than 60fps, which i still don't see the difference, btw. I would have to see more games using it to justify an immediate purchase.

hope it’s not gliding like Lair.

I don't think 120 is going to feel much different than 60, I'm sure it does compared to 30 but 60? I'd rather get better visuals.
