Soo.... is there a major reason an existing package can't be passed now and an additional package later rather than making everyone wait for one megapackage?

If it's holding out for the Biden win he still won't start his term until January while Trump can cause havok until then if he loses.

I like Wolf (he actually went to my high school! our most famous alum by a long shot!), but he's basically saying why not roll over and take whatever the GOP wants. She lost her cool a bit, but I didn't think it was excessive. She was a little out of line, but not wrong.

She can't roll over for the Republicans, and that point didn't need to be pushed so hard.

I think a big part of the problem is messaging. If the WH is trying to jam in BS she can't accept you have to talk about them and explain it. Hitting X number doesn't make it a good deal.

But I also don't see how this ends well. Trump won't care win or lose about doing what's needed because he won't have to answer to voters anymore. Best case is Biden with Dem Senate but then you are talking about February and this a long wait.

The reality is we just don't have a functioning Government

That's just it. We have a potentially lame duck President, but we have a Senate who gives zero f's about anything besides tax cuts for the rich and ultra-conservative judges on the court. Literally nothing else matters to them.

Other than everyone in the government enjoys watching peope suffer, probably not. The longer they wait, the worse things get, the more help that will be needed.

She loses her cool every time someone questions her choices as far as this deal the senate republicans originally wanted something much smaller if anything at all so this is already a compromise from their side, hell a lot of them still don't want to do what's being offered. The Dems put out a bill that never had a shot but it was good for show, what's being offered is a lot more than many people expected Republicans to do so it's probably as good as it's going to get and there is no reason to wait any longer. Playing politics when this much of the spotlight is on her now isn't going to help Biden at all, he should instruct her to take it and if the Senate republicans hold it up all of the pressure is back on them and hopefully that helps knock Mitch McClownell down a bit too.

This package should have been passed months ago and Republicans are to blame for that but now we have a shot at getting something out and we can't be seen as the party that held it up. Once Biden takes office and the dems hopefully take the senate they need to do something bigger and more comprehensive but you are right we can't wait 3 more months to get more help out.

Yes, it's her fault that McConnell didn't vote on anything they did and when they finally passed a limp dicked bill, it had zero direct aid but a sweet payout to the coal industry. And that f***wad laughed about it in his debate.

Early voting starts here, in North Carolina, tomorrow. Polls open at 8am. I want to be out the door by 7.

Not sure how long the wait will be but I don't expect it to be like some other states *cough*Georgia*cough*

I never said it was her fault the Republicans wouldn't vote on the other bills but let's be real they never would have passed had their been a vote, money for undocumented people would have been a non starter for the other side and helping states with their pension funds etc is another non starter. This is their compromise, it's a lot more than any of them want to do to begin with, a lot of them don't want anything. Taking this deal shows that she compromised and put the people first, if the senate won't move on it that just makes them look even worse. Right now the ball is in her court, the other side offered a compromise that gives a lot of what the democrats wanted and it just seems stupid to hold it up now. If you were one of those people desperate for some kind of lifeline you'd be pushing for her to do it too.

Thirsty? :)

That report was leaked by an avid Trump supporter that somehow obtained a hard drive copy that has messages from Hunter Biden to his father....

LOL talk about making s*** up! Biden was INVESTIGATED BY 2 SENATE PANELS INCLUDING A REPUBLICAN LED PANEL AND THEY FOUND NO WRONG DOING WHAT SO EVER! THE WITNESSES EVEN TESTIFIED UNDER OATH!

They couldn't do anything else so they literally fabricated an 'email' story to boost Trumps numbers. Pathetic. Of course his base is going to eat this up like flies to s***.

I don't have faith in any of them. With all of the Trump signs I see everywhere, I'm afraid the Trump disease is more widespread than I thought and he will still be in office this time next year.

I wish everyone here would have to spend just 1 day of watching 2-3 ads each commercial break pertaining to turtle man. Just 1 day of it so you can share and understand my hatred for this horrible creature.

I couldn't believe my eyes the weekend before last, there was a "Trump parade" going down one of the main streets in my city, well it started in another city and made it's way through ours and beyond. A bunch of pick up trucks and RV's with Trump signs on them honking their horns, I didn't count them all but there were at least 40 of them. Trump has no shot at doing anything in California but still seeing them out there doing that was crazy.

Morning Joe is sounding the alarm of a Biden loss is highly probable. They are going hard at not being complacent that Biden is up in polls. They polls in Georgia can’t be as large as it shows in Biden’s favor. It’s a grave warning to get out and vote.

Registrations for uneducated white males has skyrocketed the past two weeks.
I can’t stress this enough, everyone has to vote and vote blue up and down. No excuses. No being complacent. You and everyone you know needs to vote.

Good news is Biden doesn't need Georgia. The dems need to use the voter suppression against the Republicans. If the dems show up in such large numbers that it clogs the polling places guess who else doesn't get to vote in those places? I have not felt comfortable about it in weeks but at this point I think Biden has more "hidden" votes than Trump. Trump voters are brazen and don't feel like they need to hide their support any longer. Plus Biden does not have that "unlikable" issue like Hillary did. I expect it to be close.

They were stressing all over, but used Georgia as an example.

Just assume the election is going to be super close like 2016. Assume some polling bias for Biden. There's people out there who will vote Trump but keep that quiet. Also assume every undecided is a Trumper.

Even if it won't be super close, every vote we get makes it harder for them to fight the election in the courts. They are going to try and get mail in ballots thrown out in close states. If would be great if the vote is so one sided that the in-person only vote wins it outright. Trump is going to take the delays in counting mail in ballots as a time to contest everything, or he might even just declare victory election night and see who challenges him.

Also national polling is pretty useless with the electoral college. The only states that matter are the purple ones. NY and CA can double the vote for Biden and it won't matter.

The other important thing is the senate. Flipping the senate blue is critical as well. If the GOP still controls the senate, they'll just sandbag everything and Biden will get nothing through. It will be just like the later Obama years where they wouldn't even pretend to care. We need everything blue like Obama's first years.

I live in Georgia. In 2016 you could not walk outside and not see a Trump yard sign. This year there are not very many. I know that's nothing scientific but some of his support has subsided here. You have the occasional redneck Trump parade but that is his base. I think it is more important for the dems to get back the votes they lost to Trump last election. Getting a voter back is a net gain of 2 votes. Trump signing up a new voter is a net gain of 1.

I'm assuming that the Trumpers are just smarter now and trying to keep that stuff quieter. Things have changed from 2016 to 2020. Many of us knew what Trump was from day 1, but not everyone did. Today, putting a Trump flag out is flat out a racist symbol, there's no denying it. I think Trumpers are afraid to be the next "Karen".

I see a lot less political stuff overall now even from the Biden side. I'd be afraid to put a Biden sign on my lawn. I wouldn't want some crazy Trumper messing with me.

I've seen more trump signs this year than in 2016. It was too new back then.
