That picture of the controller looks flat, did someone take a picture of a photo for these things? lol. I wouldn't be shocked if someone in that region got it early that tends to happen.

I will because it's a stupid thing to even bring up lol, when it fails it'll be out of warranty (MS better hope it is) and you'll be better off buying a new console that should have had at least one price drop by that time than paying for a new compatible SSD and the labor for the repair.
If that logic makes you feel better about it, I guess that's good.

But you can disassemble the Series X and replace the non-soldered SSD.

It seems the DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers are going to play a crucial role. And this is from 3rd party.

That game has some of the best animation in the industry, if not the best.

I am interested in the resistance triggers. I wonder how different it is from the haptic triggers on the xbox controller...

Why would they lock help behind a paywall. So that patent that Sony was looking at for microtransactions on the help system were accurate.

Watched it again. Why are so many dashboard features behind the paywall???

Xbox has analog, vibration motors. The adaptive triggers aren't motors at all. They are literally resistance triggers, as in they literally applies different pressures to that trigger, compared to a trigger simply vibrating uncontrollably.

Forget about what he's talking about as far as the haptics. Instead, concentrate on the rumble explanation. Those are analog motors. That is what's in the Xbox triggers as well as the body/grip of the controller.

Wait, they announced it has an actuator? Neat

i like the menu icons in the ui

I told you Sony prepares very well for battle. These guys are silent, but they are silent for a good reason. This is not even the entire UI. They still have more to show, including their cloud strategy.

And as you can see, that mic comes in more handy than just blowing into it. But of course, i also expect their games to take advantage of it, too. I still have my eye on that touchpad, though. There is a reason Sony decided to keep it.

but I asked if they were gonna use actuators instead and no one had an answer. If Cerny mentioned it, at the “road to ps5” then why had no one brought it up before? That stuff is epic, yet old, tech that’s cool.

the mic I could care less for it, but whatevs... hopefully they include a way to mute it or third party shields for it 😆 I mean most streamers will record you when playing online with them.

the touch pad was prolly kept to please those who will play back compat games. Neat as it may be the GUI (looking similar to osx) and actuator tech is what really catches my interest.

The UI looks great, as far as how many devs actually take the time to take advantage of some of those features remains to be seen but the fact that the option is there is pretty cool.

The mic is for text to speech, and yes, there is a mute button for it.

As far as the touchpad, that's not how Sony works. If they reintroduce something, it is there for a very good reason, and BC is not that reason as the PS4 never really used it much as far as a touch feature.

there’s txt to speech now? kinda neat...

so touch feature not used as touch feature?

Affirmative

As far touch features go, no. There is basically no use for it on the PS4 UI and games have barely used the touch feature. Generally, when Sony reintroduce something, even though it was underused, there is a very good reason behind it, and this is where you should pay very close attention to their actions. There is a key reason it is still there, which Sony isn't talking about just yet.

You mad?...

I don't care if you make a fool out of yourself pretending to be excited about something as silly as the UI for a video game console. I'm just wondering if you get a bonus by pretending to be excited about it and expecting others to do the same.
