Improving isn't the same as changing the direction the market is heading.
Anyway....thought I was in a Xbox Series s/x thread not a thread with salty Pony supporters?
Xbox's line up is pitiful. They've had so much time and continue to falter every single time.
Mentioning Sony is VS.And you are posting here because you couldn't find the vs thread?
The market we are heading towards?
The old model still dominates the market so it's not changing any time soon.
So you think AAA games are going to change the business model? What do you consider soon? It takes 4 to 7 years to make most AAA games. A lot will change in that time.
I hope Sony isn't going anywhere I enjoy their games way too much, plus it's their biggest revenue isn't it? Competition is good and drive each other forward.
Let me be clear, MS can buy Sony as a whole 3 times over.
MS is more likely to become a 3rd party than that happening.
Sony is a proven company in this field MS has much to prove... big difference.
Yup! Agreed. And with Apple, Amazon and Google throwing their hats in the ring, Sony is going to have to do something. The worst thing about being stuck in the past is you get left behind. Plus, they havent really taken the steps to even compete in cLoud game streaming or subscription services. Sony could potentially be bled out this gen by trying to play catch up. Sounds kinda nuts but you can see the start of it right now.Unless Sony embrace the gamepass subscription model, I can see this being the last generation for Sony. Maybe the next generation will be Xbox vs Amaozonstation 6. I know that sounds like trolling but I’m definitely getting Blockbuster vibes from Sony.

The direction has changed -- quite a bit. Thats what Sony fans arent getting (not you specificaly, VaL) People are still thinking next gen is going to be about Console sales and pure game sales. Xcloud and GP changed that narrative substantially. And Xbox is front man on both points throughout all players.Improving isn't the same as changing the direction the market is heading.
They tried to buy Nintendo and Sony.Let me be clear, MS can buy Sony as a whole 3 times over.
I know it hit in the feels for you, Sony is a child compare what these trillion dollars companies can do.
NO lets try this. They tried to buy Nintendo and Sony.
In gaming Sony is a whale...
MS is a minnow.
Last time I checked taking a beating isn't fun.NO lets try this.
Sony is on a lifeline with Playstation
MS is doing this for fun.
Last time I checked taking a beating isn't fun.
So you think AAA games are going to change the business model?
Technology is changing the business model. Games that begin AAA production today will be ready for an entirely different landscape. Playstation will be fine this gen. When this gen is over, I believe Microsoft will have a lot more users in their ecosystem due to PC and cloud. Gaming is growing a fast pace yet console market is stagnant. Microsoft is in a good position for the next console cycle, to expand on PC and lead in cloud.
Last time I checked taking a beating isn't fun.
These people on Twitter have lost their mind. They really think MS needs Sony to make that money back.
Oh yeah many good things like beastly consoles xbox X/series X and great BC/FC support. All I can say is the beating they got with XBox One was a blessing. I think it helped steer them to where they are heading.
Microsoft will be hosting ps5 players through their cloud(s) this gen
Pretty much. This is a slow death for Sony. People who can see it knows it is coming. Those who are still stuck in their old fashion ways will be in a shock when thing are changing around him.
