Looks pretty bad on PS5 as I play it.
Yeah it's not amazing, I wouldn't say bad either but it's average at best, there are already quite a few games to play on the console that look better. It's cool that they allowed this kind of "showcase" or tour I guess but I can't stand games where they don't let you defend yourself, also not a fan of RE in 1st person so I was pretty underwhelmed with the whole thing. I am curious to see how it looks once we get outside though but I'll be deleting this demo tonight I don't have any desire to play it again.

I watched a few mins of the trailer. Good looking game, but too scary for me. Pass

I'm sure it'll please fans of RE7, but this is a huge pass for me.
They went the right way with RE2 remake, I'll hold off until an RE code veronica Remake or, even better, a new entry in 3rd person with real zombies.

I actually loved RE7 lol. If it's anything like that, I'm all for it.

I love the RE4 vibes from VIIIage, but that combat looks clunky AF.
I heard a pretty compelling theory that the entire reason Capcom did the "Village" thing with RE8 was so that they can recycle a lot of assets into the RE4 remake they have coming down the pike for SX/PS5. Would also help explain the big departure from traditional RE games and dark fairytale motif.

No PS5 yet but I'll be waiting for that before I play this game. Might even give RE7 another play through as I really enjoyed it. I am going to be a bit scared playing RE8 though and getting a fearection on the goth chicks in the game.

It's a demo, lol.

B for effort though.
It's over! It is SO SO incredibly sad. How does it feel fake resident evil fans, to be part of the losers club? These lazy millennial devs at Capcom are clueless. You fake resident evil fans can deny it all you want but this is the reality of the situation. The cracks are indeed starting to show. This is not a resident evil game. I tried telling you, but you didn't want to listen. You didn't care. You never did. You were too busy going HURR DERR DERR DERR!

Your love for Lady Dimitrescu is loud and clear. 👒
Here's a message from our RE Village art director, Tomonori Takano:

Hi everyone, I'm Tomonori Takano, Art Director on Resident Evil Village. I wanted to use this opportunity to publicly reflect on the outpour of positivity we've received from the fans on our latest announcement. As a representative of the development team, thank you to all the fans who continue to follow us.

Most recently, Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters have received a fair amount of attention, far more than we anticipated. It’s great that they're able to take the spotlight as icons of Resident Evil Village. Lady Dimitrescu, especially, has received much fanfare both domestically and overseas, which has made all of us in the development team extremely happy. I hear her height is something of interest. If you include her hat and high heels, she’s 2.9m (approximately 9’6”) tall.

These bewitching, vampiric characters are relentless in their pursuit of Ethan, and I can’t wait for you to meet them yourselves when you enter Castle Dimitrescu in May.

An updated Microsoft Store listing indicates that Resident Evil Village is set to have surprisingly moderate storage requirements. According to the store listing, Resident Evil Village and the bundled Re: Verse multiplayer will come in roughly 50 GB. Resident Evil Village alone takes up just 35 GB of space. Meanwhile, the PS5 version of the game seems to clock in at an even smaller 27 GB.

This makes Resident Evil: Village a surprisingly compact title even by eighth-generation standards, let alone ninth-gen titles. To put this into perspective, Bloober Team's The Medium, a limited fixed camera angle horror title, requires 55 GB of storage space. Expansive eighth-gen open world games like Red Dead Redemption 2 take up far more space.

It's interesting to note here that recent Resident Evil games have been quite small in terms of file size - Resident Evil 7, and the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes all clocked in at under 30 GB. This doesn't necessarily translate into smaller game experiences or or lower-quality assets, however: the recent ray-tracing trailer for Resident Evil: Village was stunning, showcasing a clear generational leap in graphics fidelity.

o be precise, four new SKU (USA, Japan, Europe, and Asia) have been uploaded (backend, not live yet) to the digital storefront, all named (Biohazard in Japan) “Resident Evil Village Gameplay Demo.” As previously confirmed by Capcom, the title of the demo confirms that this will be solely focused on gameplay, whereas the previous Maiden demo was a visual showcase. The demo is allegedly around 10GB from the information on PSN.
What’s more, the files also contain some images with the branding of “Gameplay Demo” along with a control scheme for what appears to be for remote play functionality.
