Probably depends on if MS actually starts pumping out some games of their own this year, if Halo does launch this fall it would be a bit of a mistake to bring another multiplayer shooter over to distract from it. Of course they won't keep doing this forever, they can't if they actually want the service to make money, they already said it wasn't making much now and that's without spending a fortune on day one 3rd party games, I'm sure a Battlefield deal would cost a lot more than MLB.That is extremely doubhtful.
I'm not betting my life savings on it but it's very possible. At least on console. Announcing it into Game Pass will increase the hype level for the game leading to more sales on the other platforms like PC and PlayStation. Battlefield needs a mindshare boost. Every gaming forum has people hating on microtransactions, but in the real world, they buy them up left and right. Personally, I'd never buy a skin for a first person shooter, but many do. Just jump into a game of Warzone and you'll see a Joker like skin everywhere that people paid money for.

The EA games that are included in that list are Fifa which does crazy numbers with mtx especially in the UK and Europe, people buy those packs up and madden. Sports games are a bit of an outlier here though, people get hooked on that ultimate team stuff.
F2P games are built specifically with mtx in mind from the ground up it's the only way to make money with them. Yes other games have things like skins etc planned from the start as well and sadly certain sports games get all kinds of BS stuff added on that people pay for.Any game with microtransactions is built around monetization. Warzone is done the same as the main COD MW and CW. People spend a lot on microtransactions in the paid COD games as well as Warzone. I see tons of paid skins in CW.
The subscription isn't that big a deal. They offer a discount on games as they leave, plus they always go on sale. If BF6 is good, most of us will just play it on GP until it goes on sale then grab it for $20-30.
It really isn't that complicated. Game pass has been working like this for awhile now with many games.
That's assuming MS even feels it needs BF to go along with Halo.
MS isn't doing this to bring value btw they are doing this because their long term strategy is more backend monetization, lure people in cheap up front and try to nickel and dime them once they are in, of course you won't be forced to spend the money but if people don't do that in big enough numbers changes will have to be made for sure.
Most of us don't bother because they are stupidly priced. It is like when the community complained about a collector event in Apex and one of the devs called the community cheap because only a small percentage buy skins. Microtransactions in FPS games are cosmetic so they aren't a big deal. Some people buy lots of them, many of us don't bother. I've never understood why you need a skin in a first person game myself.
Outriders, NHL (ok I probably wouldn't have bought either), MLB, Halo, maybe BF. Probably other games later in the year.
It is comical that this bothers people so much, when it is just an option. People can go along and buy their games the old fashioned way. Most games have a limited shelf life anyway. Will I be playing Outriders in 6 months? Not likely (unless tons of DLC drops). BF is a little different because I would assume EA at least wants to get 2+ years out of it (I doubt there's a BF 7 coming in 2022 but who knows).
BF could all just be a rumor, or even worse, BF 6 could be a disaster like so many other recent EA releases.
The worst thing that can happen is a stupid price increase like they did with Gold.It's only a option because forcing it(right now) is suicide and MS knows it.

18 million inflated subscriptions is way less than half of Xbox owners and PC is included in those numbers lolz!
Most gamers and surely casuals(the biggest buyers) don't know what it is and never will unless it came to the machines they play on and gp in its current state isn't appealing to Sony or Nintendo platforms.
