Storage Expansion For Xbox Series X/S

I've got about 5 X|S games and 3 Xbox one games installed in my S with about 98% of the hard drive filled up. I'm gonna need a external soon, for sure. I still think their a bit too pricey though. I may tough s*** out to see if cheaper alternatives releases. I got a problem dropping about as much for an SSD as I did for my S. That s*** stings a bit.

Yeah I cannot bring myself to pay that much, so my internal SSD is for current rotation of games only

Yeah I'm completely filled up. As soon as another big game pass game hits, I'm going to need this thing.

You are playing 8 games at once?

The problem for me is:
Destiny 2
COD Cold War
COD Warzone
Forza Horizon
That's just the base games I regularly pop back into. Throw in what I'm currently playing:
Wreckfest
AC:Valhalla
A few smaller Game Pass games

That's it, that's my drive filled. I suppose I could uninstall Horizon while I play Wreckfest, but I still get the mood to play Horizon now and then.
I've not even installed Halo MCC for now.

I feel for all the folks that don't have the expansion card. The S is absolutely ridiculous in that regard. I mean you can still play XBO/360 games from an external USB but I usually move any "active" games from there to the SSD. Started playing Control off of GP and didn't realize I was playing off the USB until it dawned on me that the load times were waaaay longer than I would expect. Once I moved it to the SSD, all game loads are 15 seconds or less (instead of a minute or so)....so yeah playing off the SSD is the way to go for any game but if you don't have the extra space use the USB for older games.

A lot of folks like to have games downloaded and at the ready or just don't want to have to deal with moving/deleting stuff (or they may bounce between several MP games and be playing a few SP games at a time as well). Also, many households have more than one gamer that play a different set of games (i.e. my son plays Apex, No Man's Sky, Warzone and I play RB6, Control, AC:V and a few others). I have like 250 games installed on my 4TB drive (mix of indie/360/XBO games)....just because I can really (have the space and have no cap internet). Makes gaming more like Netflix in that way where I can browse the collection and see if I want to play something new/different. Not everybody thinks that way or potentially has a cap where doing it is not really possible though so to each their own.

Yes, I have changed my opinion on this, the expansion thing is a must imo.

+ 15% off w/ promo code AFFSSDJUN2627, limited offer…about 189 afterwards

I ended up getting this with Amazon credit I have earned.
I thought the Xbox was suppose to treat the internal and the card as a unified pool?
