The first one was campy as fawk, but it was indeed charming as well.
But come on folks, stop spoiling it....

SZ and Scorpion are well done but they aren't in it enough to make up for the rest. Probably should have just made it a Scorpion vs Sub Zero movie.
Raiden is pretty bad
Sub-Zero was easily the best part of the movie, the new character which it seems was a studio decision came across like one, total waste of time and the actor playing him stinks. I didn't mind the more subdued Shang Tsung but Raiden was terrible, also didn't like the actresses playing Sonya or Mileena, Sonya just seemed too soft vocally and too "pretty" and Mileena was just off. The guy playing Kung Lao did a good job as did the one playing Liu Kang although he could have played it a little bigger.
The special effects were surprisingly good for a movie based on a video game, Goro (not a spoiler he's in the trailer and advertising) looked pretty good overall as did the effects for the special abilities. I'd love a sequel but with some new casting, don't know if they'd bother making those changes though.
This leads me to another thing, I'd love for them to make a Mortal Kombat action adventure game again but something on a large scale with big playable areas that's full 3D. Would be kind of awesome to play as Sub-Zero and beat up a ton of soldiers with ice abilities etc and not be confined to just a few special attacks like in a fighting game. Hell I'd even take a good 2.5D side scroller if nothing else just not like that old MK Mythologies game that came out on the PS1.

I don't know why Mileena was even in this movie. Can't really blame the actress because I'm scratching my head trying to remember if she even spoke.
She just didn't look like Mileena but it's also very hard to make a real person look like a character in a video game. They should have saved her for whenever they decide to bring Kitana into the series if this continues. I've seen a lot of people suggesting what you did earlier about a straight up Scorpion/Sub-Zero movie and that would be really cool. A lot of people loved Scorpion in this movie, honestly I probably would have gone with someone else to play Scorpion as well, to me the guy looked a bit old and frail especially compared to the actor who played Sub-Zero but I'm probably in the minority here.
Well that was a dumb fun kick ass movie. We had a good time watching it, will take more of them fights plz.
Just watched it - thought it was pretty decent! Entertained me through the entire movie, which is all I asked for.
What about Godzilla vs Kong?It's strange, our HBO Nordic service doesn't stream this and there's no clear date, but we had the Snyder Cut day one
That stinks, I know HBO Max isn't available in many countries outside of the US yet (if any) maybe the JL was just a special promotion then.Nope
He is still awesome and isn't really asked to do much. Even in sequels its easy to have a stunt double when needed since he is in a mask. Plus its not like he looks his age anyway. I saw yesterday that he was 60 when you said it and was surprised.
The movie lacks credible actors with some kind of screen presence or charisma so last thing I would want to do is remove one of the few who do.
I didn't really see any charisma from him to be honest, I just couldn't get over how old and weak he looked during that opening scene before they put all that armor and effects work into his face. I'm sure he's a great actor I just don't think he was right for this movie/franchise, the same could be said for several of the people they chose though.
I do, face is all sunken in and the way he walked down the path he looked like a small old man.
This was a perfect direct to streaming style movie. I probably would have been disappointed had I spent the price of a ticket & refreshments at a theater to see this, but it was an enjoyable dumb fun watch from home.
Watched it with a couple of buddies. Was a fun movie to riff on while enjoying the overly violent content.

Yep this was a good time at home on the couch sipping some beers while we watched. Funny watching some people pick this movie apart.

Death face means he's ripped and hard, you should know this at least as good as I do lol
Maybe when you are in your 30's but the guy is 60 and looks it IMO, look at about 59 seconds in when he first walks away from the house to go fight, he looks like an old lady afraid she's going to get mugged lol.
