Xbox Series X is the only one with 120fps for Mass Effect Legendary.

I mean the game is the PS4 version in BC mode. If the PS4 doesn't support 120fps, the PS5 won't either unless it's a native port. Should be pretty common knowledge now after how many times this has been posted.

Xbox has its virtual coding/BC advantage on its side here.

The ones that refuse to accept reality here do so because these are basically the only games that "win" any of the meaningless head to heads lol.
 
Sounds like some people are salty that Xbox wins the vast majority of head to head here.

Ps5 have lower res in pretty much every new game lol last gen xbox one had an fps advantage sometimes... At a lower res, because.. It was a weaker console.

It would be a different experience, they wouldn't have made this specific game if the SSD's didn't allow them to change worlds that quickly. Having the worlds change completely in 1 second vs what would undoubtedly have been much more than 10 seconds makes the experience different. Can you imagine sitting there waiting for that loading constantly? the game wouldn't be any fun. In the demo they said the boss fight loaded a whole level not just a small arena.

I guess we'll have to see how this is more than just really fast quick-travel; the way you're making it sound here is like a walking simulator but with teleportation, but I expect that you'll spend long stretches of time actually, you know, playing and the transitions will be a huge quality of life feature but not a new design paradigm. But maybe they'll pull something else out.
 
PS5 is the 1st GPU to run at RDNA 2 speeds followed by the 6000 series from AMD.

XSX GPU runs well below RDNA 2's 2ghz+ speeds.
XSX runs at RDNA 1 speeds.
XSX GPU is a off the shelf slower/watered-down version of RDNA 2.

PS5 isn't full RDNA 2 because the unneeded features like server functions and DX stuff is removed and replaced with Sony designed custom parts.

Then the CPU is RDNA 4 since it's nearly double the RDNA 2 speed, jackass.

The games PS5 have slightly lower res in, it usually performs better. Last gen, PS4 won in both res and fps in the comparisons.

Just look at the recent few new games comparisons.

Fenyx Immortals Rising, PS5 has both fps and res advantage.

PS5 in Performance Mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest native resolution found being approximately 2275x1280. PS5 in Performance Mode rarely renders at a native resolution of 3840x2160.

Xbox Series X in Performance Mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest native resolution found being 1920x1080. Xbox Series X in Performance Mode rarely renders at a native resolution of 3840x2160.

Crash 4, PS5 and XSX have same res, PS5 has marginally better fps and XS consoles had a stuttering issue.

Outriders, XSX had res advantage, fps same, but the IQ of the XSX is blurrier than the PS5 because the PS5 had better texture filtering hence creating a sharper image quality.

If you've been trying to get hold of a PS5 over the last few months, you'll know it's a task almost as gargantuan as the console itself. Despite record-breaking sales, Sony has struggled to keep up with demand – and the company may have to resort to drastic action to get stock moving again.

During the company's annual earnings report, Sony’s CFO, Hiroki Totoki confirmed that a shortage of semiconductors is behind delays to the production of the PlayStation 5. And to counter the problem, Sony is even considering changing the design of the console. (If you fancy your chances, here's where to buy a PS5.)

According to T3, Totoki claimed in the report that Sony is hoping to surpass 14.8M sales in 2021, which was the second-year sales figure for the PS4. But to do it, Sony would have to make some changes to meet demand. "For example," Totoki said, "we could find maybe a secondary resource, or by changing the design."

While it's surprising to hear that the design of a brand new console could be about to change, we wouldn't be surprised if said redesign is entirely internal. Adjusting the amount of silicon needed inside the machine could help Sony to mitigate the shortage of semiconductors.

That said, perhaps Sony could take the opportunity to tweak the appearance of the PS5. Maybe it could take a cue from this wildly popular all-black PS5 mod. Or even this ridiculous water-cooled PS5. With the design of the official console mercilessly mocked when revealed last summer, perhaps it wouldn't be too farfetched to imagine Sony giving the console a fresh coat of paint.

If you watch the gameplay demonstration during the boss fight it switches worlds and the guy narrating says it's not just some arena it's an entire level.

I'm curious as to how changing the design would impact anything if the semiconductor shortage is the reason they can't make enough consoles. I wonder if he misspoke and people ran with it as they usually do on the internet before getting more clarification.

That's why it's silly to even care about it, neither one is doing much better or worse than the other right now in 3rd party games so why even care? Both are running much higher res than last gen and at better framerates, that's what a next gen system is supposed to do right? :)

It just cracks me up that when we ALL know that BC games are handled differently a couple of people bury their heads in the sand and try to pretend that's not the case.

Why does anyone care about VRS? it's a trick to make the game look worse and hope people don't see it. I think that would be better for people who play on monitors where everything is smaller, putting something on a 55inch plus screen that kind of stuff is going to stand out more. Also just wait when it starts getting used more in games, DF will point it out every time and someone will take that as a loss for whichever platform they point out, just another thing for people to fight over.

PS5 & X-SeX are similar in performance. Just be happy with your platform of choice & enjoy the games.

Everything comparision so far suggested difference are very miminalist unlike last gen where OG xbox 1 was totally destroyed.
