Pretty and badass are not the same. Doesn't need to look like MCU Thor, but he should be all that is warrior, imo. Still, it's hard not to trust these guys. Maybe it'll work better than expected.

Are far as eating cows, has anyone seen how much food the Rock puts away a day? Big dudes with tren and stimulants in their bodies need lots of foods...
Fixed

Thor seems more like a power lifter…

He's doing a lot more than eating food lol the guy is clearly getting some "extra" help. Men back in the times when these myths were created weren't bench pressing or worried about carbs or eating clean they just ate what they could get. Thor was said to be a bit of a glutton and also drank heavily, the guy was going to have a beer (mead) belly not a 6 pack.

Doesn't mimr reference Thor as a fat slob? I've always envisaged Thor as this angry man child that eats, drinks, fuc*s whatever he wants and just causes a ruckus in general this seems pretty fitting.

Yeah because every studio just throws all of the animations away from the previous game in a series and starts over lol. Such a silly thing for someone to tweet, plus the character models do look better, the faces and skin are more detailed. The last game looked incredible, it's not like in the first 2 years of the new gen with a cross gen title they were going to get a night and day difference.

The guy that tweeted that originally is getting flamed hard by devs and industry people alike lol.

I agree. The fact this is crossgen pretty much cements they would just be enhancing the previous PS4 engine using some of PS5's power.

Can't believe some are upset at the colour of Angrboda's skin tone...

Barlog really gets on his soapbox sometimes lol. I can see why people who's culture these stories come from may have questions, I also think the placement in the trailer seemed a bit like a "hey everyone look how diverse we are" kind of moment but it doesn't bother me that she's there. I do wonder if they move to Egyptian gods after they wrap up the Norse portion of Kratos journey if they'll be as willing to add characters from backgrounds didn't appear in those stories or if they'll just keep it all Egyptian?

Honestly if developers and celebs weren't constantly lecturing everyone about this kind of thing as if they were superior I doubt anyone would have even cared but it's almost like an automatic thing now with some people.

I just have to chuckle at the idea that anyone would be upset that a video game about Norse mythology is portraying someone from a race of giants as a black person. Just another example of how modern society presents so few problems for some people that they have the energy to get mad about something so utterly trivial.

I really do think it's mostly people just frustrated with the way the media and almost everyone in entertainment has been bashing on white men for years now, anytime anyone brings it up someone will make a sarcastic "oh poor straight white men" comment and not discuss it any further. A lot of times devs do this just to be on their soapbox though as well as the constant "men be better" stuff. When it comes to the game and being 100% to the source material they rightly point out how they have people who are blue etc and while that doesn't bother me either I hate that he has a Texas accent that's one of my biggest complaints with the game, it doesn't fit and I wish they'd change it lol. Seriously though having her in there is nothing to be upset over but I don't think the response is really about her it's probably about the constant lecturing and double standards that go on these days.

Well it's the ignorant type who aren't aware of black people in Norse Mythology.

New looking Thor is the "peak of male performance" according to powerlifting champion.

Nah, just look at what fighters look like. A powerlifter is not a fighter, and would gas out pretty quick. He can still look like a big boi without looking like he sit's on the couch pounding beer.

More importantly, I hope they don't make Thor some major a-hole. He's predominantly a protector and apparently a jolly fellow. I'd like to see some real conflict there. I've been impressed with their writing so far, so Im not too worried.

This guy does a pretty interesting video
