What movies have you seen recently?

Hocus Pocus 10/10 forever

Side note, apparently this was the final straw for my Disney+ account, because my free year through Fios finally ran out.......9 months after it was supposed to lol.

The Conjuring 2 - Average

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It - Average
I like 1 and 2 quite a bit. James Wan is great at horror. Wish he would have taken on 3.

I've watched 40+ horror movies in October already. Plan to knock out at least a few more tomorrow Watched the new Scream Factory Collector's Edition releases of Halloween and Halloween II in 4KUHD Dolby Vision today, they looked great. All 5 they released this year are highly recommended, hopefully we get some more from them next October.

Dune - Only knew a few basics going in. I loved this film. The world building, the scale, taking the time to flesh out characters and the story, the acting was all top notch. Now I do see why some don’t care for it, but this kinda sci-fi is right up my alley. Can’t what to see what comes next.

Watched Superman: Doomsday again, every time I watch it I am reminded that this is probably the best Superman animated movie made, I'm not crazy about the way they designed Superman's face in this movie but his fight with Doomsday is epic.

The Harder They Fall - It was alright.

I made it to the Bob Marley song.

It does seem alright, but all I know about it is that it's an all black cast/production western that claims to be "not Tarrentino N this N that",

It's really not setting a Western mood because of that, but I'll get back to it because it's ok so far, just gotta accept scenes of bling and hip hop and yes Reggae within the first 15 mintues.

I'm intrigued to watch the rest but when you put a Bob Marley song in there, well now my mood has changed and now I'm listening to Bob Marley and playing some online poker haha.

Yeah it certainly isn't a typical western soundtrack. I get they want to keep it to black culture but more time appropriate music may have served them better.

Yeah, but I also want to watch it more because I'm a massive music lover, and swore it was Marley (probably a lesser known song) I have like 700 LP's and like 800GB of music, and thought that song was Marley (because who else has that voice and style?)

Barry Levington apparently. I even thought maybe it's Jimmy Cliff after some googling but didn't want to cheat.

So, I'm an idiot. And now I feel racist because I tried to guess the song I was hearing at that point in the movie.

It's a weird feeling because in real life my world is very multi-cultural and I consider people at face value, on a one to one personal basis.

Whatever.

Also the opening scene.......maybe take a little more time with that, that could have been an incredible opening scene (think Inglorious Basterds) and it was just like "hey guess what, this kid will show up 2 minutes later as an adult"

Feels rushed and forced so far.

Watched it last night with my wife and son. It was literally painful to watch. The saving grace was really Rick Moranis. Otherwise it would have probably got a bad from me.

I wanted my son to see it before we go see Afterlife.

It was painful to watch. I think you have your nostalgia glasses on. I am guessing that the 2016 Ghostbusters with the chicks is probably better.

80s perfection movies include Breakfast Club, Stripes, Caddyshack, Back to the Future, Sixteen Candles, Goonies....

Dude, even Weekend at Bernies *2* is better than the OG Ghostbusters.
