I'm just saying you can't validate one oversight with another. His defense shouldn't have been "Returnal also didn't make it", it should have simply been that the finalists are based solely on the votes which are tabulated in a fully independent and unbiased manner.
I feel like the Game Awards should be in January, covering all the previous year games.
Well he shouldn't be responding to that nonsense regardless but his point as Returnal is in response to the suggestion that Sony is paying him off.
The better response though would be that Microsoft has more nominations than Sony

Well, you can't play Demon's Souls Remake, Returnal, Rift Apart, Destruction All Stars (lol) on a PS4.
True, but we can play random other Souls game, Random crappy rogue like, Mario 64, Super Smash Bros Brawl on inferior hardware and those are better games lol
