The battle pass and grind don't really bother me as much as other people. The lack of select-able game modes is hampering me more than anything else. If Swat doesn't show up on Dec 8 in some way shape or form, I'll be playing purely for the campaign.
Honestly, doesn't matter now. The devs have labelled it an issue and top priority. So, it was bad, and it is changing.
So, force crossplay with PC, but have no anti-cheat and no reporting feature. If only someone could have predicted that PC crossplay would have cheating issues.
Unless they have hardware bans or something, this is all worthless talk. They will just create a new account

it will be everywhere, but ranked will likely be the worst.
At 8 seconds he starts shooting at somebody not even in sight. Very suspect. He has weird camera movements aswell.
His constant shooting into the ground is him trying to hide his perfect accuracy in the post-game stats
He's purposely tanking his accuracy stat so that he doesn't have super human stats. His excuse will be "see I miss lots of shots!".
He's 100% using a wallhack. He knows where people are coming from before they get around the corner. He's also almost certainly aimbotting, but being smart about trying to hide it.
They can ban him, and he'll have a new name and new account tomorrow and do the exact same thing.
They need an active anti-cheat that actively kicks people out of games the moment they start using it.
Warzone went through the same thing and still never got fixed. All the things you can do are limited, and ultimately the game is free to play so anyone can just make a new account. Hardware bans are all pretty simple to get around.
The only game I ever played that I never ran into a cheater was Valorant. They are there, but Riot does a great job trying to eliminate it.
I wonder if something as simple as requiring an Xbox Live subscription would alleviate some of the cheating? At least if they got banned they would have to dole out another $60 for Live
It would help. For Warzone, they at least made people tie an account to a cell phone number. People can spoof numbers, but that slows them down a little. The more you can do to make it more difficult, the more the trolls will find something else to do.
You really either need a good kernel level anticheat on PC or you have to punt on crossplay. As a PC player, I'm not crazy about some of the more invasive anticheat systems, but as long as you can turn them off when not in game, I don't see what else we can do.
IPs are actually dynamic, so they are easy to change. Way back in the day, I was temp banned in Battlefield 1942. Best I could figure, someone had an IP ban on my ISP and I got their IP. I changed my IP and was back to normal.
There are cheater groups that will give easy instructions on how to get around any kind of hardware/IP ban.
True. But like you said with a cell phone number. Slow them down. Cell phone. XBL sub. IP ban, anti cheat. The will sit there and f*** with that s*** all the time while the rest of us good people will just keep on playing.
