Oh yes, be sure to play Kena Bridge of Spirits and Miles Morales. My two faves on PS5.

Congrats and welcome to the small fam here.

Demon's Souls, Rift Apart, Returnal and Spiderman Remastered(if you haven't played it yet)/Miles Morales would be a good place to start IMO.

Also hope you have been adding PS+ titles since launch :p

I really haven't been. I just recently re hooked up my PS4 Pro, it's been in boxes since we moved into our new house 6 months ago.

I plan on finishing Spiderman which I was maybe 25% of the way through on PS4 Pro, finish Ghost of Tsushima, and also finishing TLoU2 (even though I am NOT a fan of story so far)

Rachet and Clank, and Demons Souls don't interest me.

Il be selling my 2TB PS4 pro here soon, a little ticked that I can't bring any of my PS4 controllers forward with me (I have like 6 of them, including the 25th anniversary PS1 gray controller that is very lightly used)

The game is a beautiful bore. Like most Insomniac games.

I don’t even consider it to be in the same genre as SM64.
It's a mediocre shooter. Not a platformer.
Bore to you and that's fine.
Most Insomniac games eh? Name the last 5 games they made.

You don't have to consider it a 3D platformer, it doesn't change the fact that it is one with shooting elements.

Spiderman games ( which are awesome) Sunset Overdrive which was fun for about 5 minutes, the Ratchet games, some indie game that looked cool. Some VR stiuff.

Anything else that I'm missing?

The Resistance series which I kind of liked.

The core mechanics is shooting. With weak guns that run out of ammo all the time.
And some melee mixed in.

The platform aspect is not great and generally on rails like a modern Sonic game.

You said most and just proved the opposite.

The only Insomniac games I have liked are Spider-Man/Miles Morales and the Resistance series.

Bought a PS5 last month and never got around to opening the box. Friend wants to buy it off me for his kid (will sell at cost). And this morning I managed to get another PS5 from Target, saving me $25 for using the Red Card.

I'm not saying their games lack quality or anything. They have great art direction, tech, humor and detail. It's just that the gameplay lacks that "magic" that makes a game hard to put down.
Imo

You come on. Lol
I've never loved the R&C games. But I keep buying them.

One of my favorites series of all time is The Last of Us.
I love franchises not companies.

Same. Uncharted series is in my top 10 of all time games in my life. TLOU doesn’t register. I go by game not dev.

For me ratchet is hard to put down, it's such a simple but fun game, and collecting bolts is addicting.

One thing I did notice which I thought was weird, I was browsing the PSN store and when you are in the buy page, there is no mention of the developer anywhere it just lists the publisher, just feels a bit wrong the people who did all the work don't get a mention.

Using non propietary storage is just better. 1TB m.2 SSD added to my PS5, it was only 129.99 as opposed to MS propietary BS at 219.99....this SSD was a absolute steal

Amazon product

Indeed that price is good. But I plug and unplug mine and bring it with me to relatives and have my games on it. Now that I have two of them I just swap them around. No reformatting each time and no disassembly required.

I got a Aorus 2TB 7000s and my son a WD Black Sn850 1TB with heatsink.

The XSX storage convenience is kool for the casuals but that price ain't kool and I love having different options with fluctuating prices for PS5 much more.

Plus the PS5 solution gives you the entire storage size.

Yup. Price will only come down more especially when technology keeps advancing.

Proprietary you will be stuck and can't even use it with anything else. With the PS5 SSD options you can still use in your PC.

The MS solution has been on sale for $168. And the price has already dropped and will continue to.
