They need to just put a straight up save feature in the game, I'll never finish this game if they don't and I'll never buy a game in this genre either. I don't get this obsession with making things difficult or punishing players for not being perfect, you aren't a winner at life, you aren't a tough guy if you beat this game. It's funny when you hear some people talk about being good at this game or playing every game on the hardest difficulty is a real accomplishment in life, this is a hobby and these are consumer products. Yes they designed a game and want to be true to their "vision" but giving people options won't hurt anything, it'll just give a lot of people who paid for the game a chance to really finish it as well as make it appeal to people who maybe would be put off by the difficulty and lack of the option to save the game.

The new update didn’t add this? Or do you mean a feature where if you die you go back to a save point.

It was fun for me even when it first launched when the difficulty was higher 🤔

The gunplay was addictive and the fact each run is randomly generated makes the experience more unique.

Isn't there a suspend/save system in place now since that update?

Initial impressions:

It's an odd mash-up of multiple genres. Many of the enemies remind me of the aliens from the Edge of Tomorrow, but the environments remind of something from the Aliens franchise. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Gun Valkyrie and the way the story progresses with each death reminds me of Hades a bit.

I think the graphics are very nice so far. They aren't without their flaws, but overall they look great. I think the highlights for me so far are actually the sound effects, story, and core gameplay.

It does get frustrating and feels a bit like work already, but I'm definitely going to see it through to the end.

Some tips:

- Try not to get hit
- Full health when picking up green resin will increase your health permanently further
- save your heal kits for boss fights
- activate the revive room
- use those red sleeping beds at least once if you see it. Usually worth IMO.

Yeah, I’ve been focusing on this. I’ve found that few things carryover after death to further strengthen your character, such as increased health, equipment, etc. Many times the consumables are basically useless as well, like the Shock Springs.

Best game of the year

People that want this to be easier are ruining video games
I love when people really mean that, like somehow giving people an option to play on a lower difficulty impacts how you play the game lol.

Its ok for some games to be too hard for people. That shouldn't be a problem.

Not when you don't get a demo or a trial first, they are asking you to pay $70.00 for a product you can't even take for a test drive first. There is nothing wrong with people having options, someone getting to play on an easier difficulty or being able to save has no impact at all on our experience if you choose to play on a higher difficult.

But you can say that about anything and any game in terms of not knowing if you will like it but much like if a game is bad this game being pretty hard was not a secret.

And the save stuff I definitely disagree with. Assuming you mean traditional save and loading. That does break what they are trying to do. Now not being able to stop and continue like they had when it came out was definitely bad.

Hard is a relative term, a lot of reviewers aren't very good at games to begin with so taking their word for it can be a bit tough. The game itself isn't overwhelmingly hard it's the length of time you have to play to get any progress saved that is the issue IMO. They could totally give the option of saving for people who want it or a setting with saves that only happen the way they do now. I couldn't care less how someone else decides to play a game although I do find it funny when people talk about playing on the hardest difficult level like it's some kind of brag. I suspect they are the people that will go buy a box of magnums and a bag of rubber bands together lol.
