Its Mandalorian without Baby YodaI have a feeling this is going to be a whole lot of meh. It will be fine to watch, but I think it is going to fall really short of things like Mando.
Most shows should be though.Feel like it should’ve been a two episode premiere
I skip shows until two or more episodes are available then watch 2+ at a time.I sincerely dislike when TV shows release one episode at a time.
Yeah, it boggles the mind as to why not give shows longer run times too, it feels like they’re working with an artificial cutoffMost shows should be though.
Some make like 45 minute breakdowns from a minute or less trailer. How else are Youtubers going to be able to run their weekly 35 minute review videos?
First episode wasn't great.
But this is what I don’t get! The first episode should explode and make us want more, not ‘meh it was ok’! Hopefully will get better!yeah. Kind of agree. It was too short and really didn’t deliver the same kind of impact that the Mandalorian did when it started. Still it has potential to improve.

I think he’s directing all of them… he’s known for his over the top action, but maybe he’s trying to keep a sense of mystery m, at first?100%. I am as actually a bit shocked to see Robert Rorgregiz directed it. Definitely would have expected something more impactful from him.
I think it’s a combo of mostly same directors as MandalorianI think he’s directing all of them… he’s known for his over the top action, but maybe he’s trying to keep a sense of mystery m, at first?
Yeah also shocked when I saw that as I really like RR. But maybe cos it’s TV, time etc played a part in maybe getting rushed to finish things……100%. I am as actually a bit shocked to see Robert Rorgregiz directed it. Definitely would have expected something more impactful from him.

I’ll be the delusional optimist…what if he does understand, he’s got a direction because the story is done (completed by John favreau) and we’re just way to hungry more larger set pieces to wow us but we have to wait, cos it’s not Netflix, for seven episodes? It just didn’t feel like anything he’s done before. If I hadn’t seen his name I’d have never thought it was him. It was like he didn’t understand the characters or the settings or what direction he wanted to take them.
Yeah I thought coming from RR it would have been more stylised, slow mo, cool shots etc but nothing. But as I work in the industry, I know he might have had show runners/producers breathing down his neck and telling him what to shoot. Most of these people can’t direct, if you turned around to them and said ‘ok I’ll step back, you direct this scene!’ They would s**t themselves, but they are always chipping in, saying ‘why not do it like this? Or like that?’ Etc etc.It just didn’t feel like anything he’s done before. If I hadn’t seen his name I’d have never thought it was him. That makes sense for something like this, though. Otherwise these shows would be all over the place.Yeah I thought coming from RR it would have been more stylised, slow mo, cool shots etc but nothing. When I worked on the OG Justice League, even Zack Synder couldn’t do his own thing. Hence him leaving.
Like I said in previous posts, too many cooks spoil the broth.…….
