If anyone thought game pass wear was a questionable deal... Lol

Honestly, don't see the point in 3 tiers here.

I have seen that they will be adding Death Stranding, Returnal, both Spider-Man games when this launches. There will be others too.

I'll likely sign up for a month of PS+Extra, haven't played Death Stranding or Miles Morales.

The Premium tier is good for those that want to get some retro gaming in. Seems smart to me to put that in a more niche tier, as it doesn't interest some.

I will remain on PS Plus Essential.

Hmmm...does this mean that we could possibly play games like Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon Summit Strike on our PS5s?

For only a $20 difference it doesn't seem worth the confusion its going to give people

In theory but the servers are down and those games probably sucked on PS2 compared to Xbox

Yeah, I figured the servers would be down. But I would still play the campaign, and play on the maps with bots (though I don't recall if they had bots in the older Tom Clancy games).

Are you planning on getting a PS5? Maybe wait to subscribe then if you are. The upgrades are worth it.

They are charging for older games which is free on Xbox with backwards compatibility and they are not offering any new PS5 games at release day. There doesn't seem to be anything to get me to subscribe beyond the basic PS+ plan I'm already subbed to. Good news, I don't need nor want another subscription service. Plus, I purchase the games I want to play and Gamepass provides me with a lot of games I wouldn't normally purchase so I'm good.

If I had a PS5 I’d get this. Would be cool going back playing the great RPG’s from PS1 and PS2.

So they will not have newer games or third party games? So not a GP competitor.

Hard to compete with perfection.

Over 700 games even if focused on classic games could be very good but the problem is PS Now apparently already has more than that and the lineup is very unimpressive. Worth the extra 60 bucks if you have Plus I suppose but its not very encouraging.

No reason for it to at least not have every Sony game from PS1-4+PSP but I won't hold my breath

It says Essentials includes 2 monthly downloadable games. Currently it's 3 downloadable games (4 games on a bonus month).

Depending on what Classic games are available I may give it a try at random, but not something I'd get a year at a time.

That’s a good idea. See something you want to play, pay $10 or whatever. No harm no foul.

Just hurried up and snagged two years of Plus for $78.
They can keep this new crap.

It's insulting that I can't play my older games without this service.

So, does this mean you don’t need a PS to play old PS games if you own a PC, just stream them there?

Will it be a launcher or browser based? If the latter they could in theory play it on devices like an iPad.

Wonder if it’s running on Azzure

Yeah, that should’ve been an option. Maybe they’ll do it later?

I’m gonna guess there’s licensing issues with it as well. I’m pretty sure there’s more games for each console generation, combined, than those two listed numbers.
