None of us know a damn thing really. It’s all conjecture for all sides.
Not really true. We know what the buyers have said.

People need to remember that if MS is telling lies, like some try to push, they haven't just lied to the entire internet, they have also lied to all these regulator groups. Good luck trying to purchase anything in the future.

And despite the latest narrative some are trying to spread they didn't lie about Bethesda. They said Xbox would take priority with some games in regards to exclusivity.
They said they would continue to sell Bethesda games on other platforms and they haven't taken any off sale.

I’m talking more about the implications of what has been presented to the CMA. We have no idea what they will rule or what the fallout of that will be.

If the CMA try to block it then it will go to court which will very likely be another lose for the CMA.
A quick loss with no one else objecting to it.

Going to be hilarious if this deal is blocked and Microsoft starts playing by Sony's rules.

Time to moneyhat CoD year exclusivity.

Another thing Sony need to worry about. MS could say f*** it and just start snapping up 3rd party content as exclusives.
Even after this deal they could do that.

How bad are the CMA dealing with this? This bad..

1.- Microsoft has engaged constructively with the CMA throughout pre-notification and the Phase 1 process. Microsoft was disappointed that it was not offered the opportunity to explain these points to the CMA in detail prior to the Phase 1 issues meeting and supplementary issues meeting, despite several requests to provide teach-in sessions for the benefit of the case team. Microsoft looks forward to engaging with the Panel through the Phase 2 process, to explain the benefits that the Transaction will bring to gamers, developers and the gaming industry more broadly.

2.- For the reasons set out in this response, the theories of harm and evidence presented in the Referral Decision do not provide any plausible basis on which it could be found that the Transaction will give rise to a substantial lessening of competition. Certainly, the CMA cannot find that this would be the case to the requisite standard at Phase 2.

The problem is that CMA is saying things based on something that didn't happen or no facts.
After all this, I just give sony a few years and shut the books on them for being an ass.

I dono if they go into specific detail, but they don’t state what those “number of years” are, like is that the years within the contracted exclusivity or is that years after it expires.
