This should be well known. Graphically amazing software on these limited consoles will come down to developer talent.

A 4090 can run a Plagues Tale Requiem at full 60fps with RT AND ultra settings and NO DLSS at 4K. These consoles struggle at just 30fps with various high to mid settings and without RT and with upscaling to even reach 4K.

The writing is on the wall.
To your point, Gotham Knights drops below 50 FPS in certain points when running at 4K on a 4090.

1080p 1440p will be the new res for 60 fps.

Matrix was dynamic 4k

The Matrix Awakens PS5 vs. Xbox Series X Comparison Watch on According to a report from our friend ElAnalistaDeBits, this demo runs at 30 FPS with a dynamic 4K resolution on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. This drops down to 1080p on the Xbox Series S.
Resolution is dynamic but often sits between 1440p and 1620p on both Series X and PS5. End of.

The game runs on a brand new in-house engine, the first game on such a thing is usually the worst performance wise.

Hypothetically, if you have a game that runs 1440p 95% of the time, except one area where it jumps to 4K it is “dynamic 4K”, but it is also highly misleading.

Pos Gotham runs on HDD's.
So the last gen PC is holding these consoles back. Like I said it would. Alex is a fn mark for PC and pretty clueless comparing these consoles to a 2060 Super.

With PC supported expect similar results in other games.
HDDs are not the issue for Gotham Knights. So, kind of a pointless comment.

Where in the article does he compare these consoles to a 2060 Super?

It is the reason.
If not programming for the strengths of these consoles which is fully realized when HDD's and much slower SSD's aren't supported in the development processes.

Not wasting my time about this with you or anyone else who doesn't understand.

It isn't the reason. HDD or SSDs main function is loading into the ram, it has little bearing on actual FPS. The actual issue is it is poorly optimised, especially on the CPU side of things.

And GPU.

It is using like half of the GPU load on a 4090. So it becomes CPU bound but even then the game isn't optimized well for the CPU side lol
