They are fixing those old maps first, which is exactly what they need to do. Those maps are horrible as is, and every rework they've done has been great.

The game is fun once you get away from those massive, barren maps. It was a 128 player walking simulator. Leaving those in the rotation and doing nothing isn't what the game needs. The people who still do play stick to the Exodus Conquest playlist or ones with only the "fixed" or new maps. Nobody can play the game on those launch maps.

What EA needs to do is start throwing multiple studios (and money) at this. Look how many studios worked (and are working) on MW2? Even then, season 1 is two recycled maps lol (granted favorites, but COD folks are screaming about it).

Or get the Dice studio to work on it instead 5 people.

While the reworked maps are better, I have to agree the changes were slight, but necessary. All they did was change spawns, reduce map size and added shipping containers/sand bags for cover. My only complaint is the amount of time it has taken. Unless they have a skeleton crew, which they probably do, it shouldn't have took as long as they have to retouch 4 maps.

They say it does.

What they say>>>what we think.
No.

It is simple common sense. If it takes 3 to 6 months to just make small changes to a built map with a large team working on it then how the hell did they build 7 large maps and remake the Portal maps in just 3 years?

Common sense >>>>folk trying to cover their asses.

I mean it doesn't take 6 months to make a scoreboard, dude.

Says the armchair developer.

Common sense is listening to them and not you.

We are talking maps not the other issues so we aren't talking about that stuff.

1 studio isn't going to cut it. MW2 has possibly had up to 11 studios working on it. They definitely have IW, Raven, Demonware, Toys for Bob, Sledgehammer, High Moon, Activision, and Treyarch at least. Even then, the first season in COD is 2 recycled maps, and a pretty low map count at launch.

If BF wants to come close to that, EA needs to start throwing money and studios at it. It isn't complicated, COD has more content because they put a ton of money into it.

COD isn't like other games. They don't leave a skeleton crew on it post launch. That is the difference.

I played this yesterday after not playing for a while, and it continues to improve. Too little too late but I look forward to when it hits GP and a bunch of new people jump on.

I think it's been since early this year for me, I definitely plan on checking out some of the updates soon.

Do people recommend using cross platform now or not? In the early days, it seemed like cross platform was laggier / choppier on console than just using Xbox only servers.

I try and play without because of PC cheaters.

It was fine for me in season 1.

How is the matchmaking? I gave up turning off CP because I could never find a full lobby of console-only players.

This game seems fine. The funny thing is I rarely see anyone getting crazy high scores, and if they do it is usually vehicles.

TeKPhaN For some reason the tweet you posted seems to have been removed or something is wrong with the link. So I'm reposting the vid.

Also, I'm assuming Nov 22 is when it will hit GP as well?

Interesting looking map with the beautiful lush green natural landscape and the futuristic behemoth buildings.

The season 2 map was crap, but this looks better. I'll jump back in and check it out.
