The Official: Automotive enthusiast thread

I’d think so, it’s local, so, you may not get new updates, maybe?

I don't think I'd feel comfortable driving something so tiny, but I think this is cool. Some people lament Manual driving being in decline, but where or how is an adult driver interested going to learn? Unless maybe they get an old used stick shift to beat up while they learn on it?

The best, because it’s the easiest transmission, to learn in would be any Honda with a manual….they’re not as notchy as say a mustang or bmw, but they can also take a beating or enjoy the sloppiness like that of a beginner. Their engagement points are pretty high though. Toyota’s seem to get caught when shifting from second to third if you’re too fast. Any ford that isn’t a mustang feels digital/artificial or lack thereof. GMs are ok, but it’s kinda like playing roulette. Mazdas are pretty good, like older fords. I dono why im going on with this. I’m hopping the Corolla GR has a good manual….I’m on the list lads!

My Evo X is smooth as silk if shifts are at 4k rpm and above. Low rpm's and it can be notchy sometimes.

I just did a build and order of a 2023 BMW 330i xDrive. Trading in my Jeep Cherokee. They said end of December to January for delivery.

Pretty pumped I must say.

Fun cars, they feel so good on the road, very confidence inspiring. CarPlay and Android auto are wireless only tho, kinda sucks cos I prefer wired. I still prefer the f80s tho…anyways, congrats good sir, post pics once you do. Oh are they gonna deliver it to your house or you gonna pick it up the dealer as they roll it off?

Built, shipped to my local dealer and then I will pick up. I prefer wireless and I installed wireless in my Corvette. I added wireless charging to my new car.

Funny, I watched this a while ago. We have cross over in our Algoricum.

Anyway I test drive a EV last week, MG no less (On a side The Chinese are on fire these days) & is very impress.

I think EV isn't just the future for car, but also performance. If I have access to a supercharger near where I live, I may consider one formy next car.

Here is Lucid air, & is pretty impressive.

Here is how I built it as far as my color and wheel choices.

For options I added:

  • xDrive
  • Wireless Charger for Cellphone
  • Spare Tire (comes with run flats, but I don't trust them)
  • Convenience Package (Lumbar and Comfort Access keyless entry)
  • Premium Package (Heads Up Display, Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Seats)
  • Driving Assistance Package (active blind spot detection, active driving assistant, lane departure warning, park distance control)
